Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe staff were super helpful and looked after our every need . The Riad was very traditional with many original features. The atmosphere was very calming . Very central. I met the owner who was really lovely. The staff when I asked said that he was a great boss to work for ... that means allot to me actually.

GermanyPlease be aware, that it is an authentic Riad and the walls are quite thin. Also the hot water supply is a litlle bit slower than in the chain hotels, we might be used to. Keeping it in mind, you will get a great experience!
Very romantic place, beautiful inside garden with plenty of flowers. Easy to reach because correctly placed on google maps. The interior of the rooms will bring you into fairy tale of "1001 nights". The personal is very friendly and will do their best to make your stay comfortable. The riad is in the old town; thus, stepping out of it, you will dive into Medina directly.

The Riad Armelle is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The decoration and ambience of our room was exceptional (very comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, spotlessly clean), and the inner courtyards and rooftop area were out of a storybook. The staff was outstanding and most helpful (arranged for laundry in same day at a bargain price, etc.). The we had dinner there also, and it was delicious -- and the dining atmosphere was delightful. It is a true oasis in a well-located and easy-to-find location. One of our very best experiences in Morocco -- highly recommended ((would give it 6 stars if rating scale allowed)!!

BelgiumArmelle was everything you could want. A welcoming oasis in a busy but not too touristy part of the medina. It's close to Bab Doukkala which makes getting a taxi or to the bus station very easy. They served a consistently good Moroccan breakfast (the omelette especially was outstanding). The staff are funny (esp Cici!), helpful, and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The riad itself is a stunningly beautiful property, and the rooms no less so. Spend your time on the rooftop for sunrise or sunset. 10/10 would stay again and again.

AustraliaThe hotel is beautiful and is in a brilliant location - in the heart of Medina, walking distance to the markets and main square. The staff were very friendly and the activities and excursions they recommended we were very happy with - good experiences, fair prices. Overall we are very happy with our time at Riad Armelle and we stayed 7 days! Would happily recommend to others.

SpainThere was nothing we didn't like.
Beautiful Riad, superb location, the staff were exceptionally efficient and friendly, nothing was any trouble. We had dinner at the Riad and it was superb, the ambience and decoration so peaceful and relaxing. They also arranged a great excursion to The Ourika Valley and arranged airport transfers with their "in house" driver...

This is a beautiful Riad. Gorgeous traditional architecture and interior design, with numerous plants, small, free-flying birds, water feature in the square, adding a little bit of nature and plenty of tranquillity. Riad Armelle is relatively easy to find, entering through the Bab Doukkala gate, its just a couple of minutes walk to the Riad. In contrast to the busy streets of the Medina, the Riad is quiet and peaceful. It also has a lovely roof top terrace with plenty of comfy seats, great views, wonderful cactus plants. I did some work on my laptop up there enjoying the atmosphere and the muezzin singing the call to prayer. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made me feel totally comfortable, safe and at home in the Riad. They gave great advice and directions for things to see, places to eat etc. My room was next to the terrace. It was luxuriously decorated, very comfy bed and I loved the shower set up. There was a good free wifi which I did use for work and held up well. Just a note - there was no TV. I preferred this, it helped me relax and enjoy the peaceful environment in the Riad. I'm just adding it here so visitors know this in advance. You do need to buy bottles of water to have in the room, but staff are happy to help with that. The breakfast is great and I had dinner at the restaurant one evening, it was delicious. Again important to note that in order to have dinner in the Riad you need to book it with the staff in the morning. Also you can book an airport pick up and drop off for an extra fee. The rest of the time I walked around Marrakech. I had to attend a conference outside the Medina, in a modern part of the city called Hivernage. It was very easy to walk, the pedestrian roads are big and clean. Walking in the Medina is nice as well, if you don't like crowds and/or are a solo traveller like I was, then walk the Medina in the morning. Definitely visit Le Jardin Secret! I loved my stay here and hope to return for another visit.

United StatesUpon arrival, I coordinated several excursions in which a price was given for the tours. The staff insisted we pay at the end, and at check out, the price had increased without an explanation.
The property location was 10 min drive from the square.
