Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumBreakfast was not overly elaborate or diverse (e.g. never egg or sausage) but very decent and tasty nonetheless, with excellent alternating Moroccan bread types and outstanding home-made yoghurt.
Everything was great in this authentic Riad, from the pre-arrival communication, over the arrival pick-ups and check-on, through to the stay, rooms, dinner, check-out and drop-off. Of the four people managing the Riad, not all were English or even fluently French-speaking, but that didn't stop us from communicating efficiently. The small swimming pool was very refreshing, but don't behave too wild in it because it easily overflows. The terras was a great viewing spot and the location in general was excellent, in a very quiet place 5-10 minutes walking from Jamaa El Fna.

United KingdomThe ensuite bathroom had a curtain across it rather than a door. I was staying with a friend so it was a bit awkward, but if you are a couple or family it isn't a problem.
Beautiful, tranquil small riad in the heart of the medina. Served with a traditional breakfast everyday of homemade yogurt, pastries, bread and pancakes, with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. The rooms were very clean, hot water everyday, fresh towels everyday. Soap, shampoo, body wash and toilet paper were replenished regularly. Staff were super helpful and friendly. There are very nice restaurants and cafes nearby and shopping a stone's throw away. Very good price for a full weeks stay, would recommend for those on a smaller budget.

NetherlandsNothing, everything perfect. Just maybe note that some rooms may only have a curtain to close the bathroom (ours was the Gentiane room). Not a negative, but good to know for some couples ;)
Very nice personnel, especially the cat Blacky, the princess of the Riad :) The room was cozy but clean, firm and comfortable large bed, clean bathroom. The location is very good, in 10mins walk you are in the Medrasa or the big square.

FranceI wasn’t aware that they have a live in cat. Unfortunately I am allergic to cats and this fact needs to be included in the Riad’s information when booking.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this accommodation for locality and cleanliness. Breakfast was plentiful.

United Kingdomno room for sun beds on terrace. an addition of this would’ve been perfect if it was any hotter I.e summer months (it was January and around 20/21 degrees at the time not such a big complaint really) our room was next to some pipe-works we suspect as every morning there was water noises which sometimes woke us but wasn’t so annoying (1st floor left hand room)
We stayed in the suite style rooms which were big and spacious with a lovely bed. Courtyard was beautiful and featured a lovely roof terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding buildings of Marrakesh The staff in the property could not have been nicer. They went above and beyond for us including picking us up from the airport so be sure to ask them for this if you are nervous about finding the property like we were, they will 100% look after you if you have any questions The riad was a 10 minute walk from El Fna square. The Main Street just round the corner is one of the many streets leading off the square so a brief walk and you’ll be in the heart of Marrakech The quietness of the riad was very welcomed to. despite being in a busy location you wouldn’t know it when standing on the roof terrace complimentary morrocan mint tea on arrival. even if you’re not a tea drinker and prefer coffee like us always say Yes to this as it’s definitely different! If you’re a cat person (like ourselves) you’ll be happy to know that the local cats are well looked after in the nearby alleys. The owners seem to feed them at the front door and the local cats usually welcome you as you step into the riad, have a look out for them coming to say hello on the roof terrace too

GermanyIt was a bit difficult to find the hotel (Google Maps and Booking do not show accurate location) and the small street towards the Riad is dark. The take-away breakfast could have been a bit more. The personnel did not speak English very well.
We stayed for one night in Riad Aubrac. The location is great, right in the center. The staff was super nice and helpful and the hotel has a nice rooftop.

Great place to stay for the authentic Marrakesh experience. Nothing too much trouble from the staff, always there to assist with booking excursions, helping with suitcases, guiding us through the myriad of lanes to the nearest pick up point for the taxis when going out, roads nearby too small for taxi to come immediately outside hotel. Plenty of atmosphere immediately around hotel, Souks, markets, restaurants, cafes etc. Fabulous experience and exceptional value for money
