Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

A friendly staff in a riad where lifestyle is based on peace and relax. The room was clean and has a little space outside the door where you can chill out. Good breakfast and nice rooftop. Hope we'll have a chance to come back. Keep going Simo!

United KingdomThe location, although very central, is down a small alley. Once you're inside the Riad though, it's good and very quiet.
Simo the host was so helpful and welcoming, he couldn't do more to make you welcome. The room was very clean, the bedding and towels were changed daily. The Riad is small but right in the middle of the medina.

FranceSuperb! I spent 7 wonderful nights at Riad Bab (23 Feb-2 March), the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, courteous and professional. The Riad is located inside the Medina, minutes away from the seafront, in a surprisingly quiet street. My room was very large, with a lounge area which I used as office space (excellent WiFi by the way) The view from the rooftop terrace at dawn and dusk is simply magical. Superb location, superb staff, superb value for money.

United KingdomThe rooms were a bit cool inside, but understandable due to the cooler than normal outside temperatures. A space heater was provided which allowed the bedroom to get warm and comfortable at night though. There was a short bit of a dark alley to pass through, to access the Riad. The lights appeared to be burnt out...but perhaps repaired after our stay.
Simo was a fantastic host! He was always smiling, easy to deal with, and very helpful with questions and suggestions of places to see and eat. The rooftop seating area was such a lovely place to sit and read a book. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Simo made you feel at home.

We had breakfast there everyday. We enjoyed the view of the city while drinking coffee and planning our day. The breakfast was delicious.

United KingdomFrom start to finish our stay was sensational. Simo and co, so attentive and full of knowledge. He made sure we had everything we needed to get there. Breakfast was traditional Moroccoan, crepes, bread, jams, egg, coffee, fresh juice and Moroccoan tea. Clean space, chill out zone. We stayed on ground floor, very spacious and private. Located in the center of the main street, amazing food, shopping and very honest people. What a gem of a city. We are planning to go back in Oct.

United StatesI would highly recommend this riad. Simo was extremely communicative from the start and even met us to walk us to the riad. He accommodated us with a late checkout and was always available for questions. He was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The riad is beautiful and has a stunning rooftop view. United KingdomThe staircase could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems, but this is an old house full of character.
Sumo is the perfect host - nothing is too much trouble and he has plenty of advice, if you need it. We had issues with transport back to the airport and Sumo sorted these out for us. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The accommodation was spotless. Our room, on the ground floor, was cosy ( being January that was good) , the bed was very comfortable and made up for us every day. The house is decorated with many paintings and interesting artifacts. Wonderful views from the roof terrace. We would definitely stay with Sumo again.

Beautiful little riad in the heart of the Medina. Only 4 rooms, one on each floor, so quiet and plenty of space for all the guests. Simo looked after us very well & cooked an amazing dinner (tagine) with freshly caught langoustines & whole fish. Rooms cleaned & tidied every day with fresh towels.

United KingdomOnly issue may be if you are particularly tall or big, that the bathroom in this suite is very compact.
This place was so lovely. Simo was very hospitable, tea on arrival, excellent breakfast (included in the price) which we ate on our own little private balcony which was so relaxed. The Roof terrace is good too and has a sea view. Simo very kindly collected us a couple of cheeky beers to have at sun down and he also helped us print our return boarding passes! All above and beyond I’d say. Thank you! The room was nice. Great part of town too. A little hard to find initially but really central and convenient.

PolandWe got a private bedroom and a detached private bath with a semi private living room in between separated from the public space by a curtain. It wasn't fully comfortable for privacy reasons.
The owner was super friendly and helpful and the room was quite nice. It's located in the center of medina, so it's close to main tourist attractions. They have a terrace with nice view over the city. It was a very pleasant stay.
