Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe breakfast was typical Moroccan with Moroccan bread selection, honey, marmalade selection, Moroccan pancakes, and cakes. I would have preferred a wider choice with croissants, brioches, white cheese and possibly also an English breakfast. The room didn’t have a TV so you have to rely on your devices. Swimming pool is too small to swim, just good for relax.
The staff was great and helpful from the moment we booked till the end. I called them even when I had to communicate with taxi drivers. We used WhatsApp. The hotel is in the old city (Medina). If you want to experience the real Morocco, this is the place for you. If you want a more westerner atmosphere, you should go to Gueliz. I liked the buzzling of the old city and people were kind even late night. I didn’t have any issue, but you should be sure not following anyone asking you to do so. The room and toilet were typical Moroccan. And there was air conditioner. The food at restaurant was great but if you plan to eat there, you need to let them know before 4pm We were always offered for free typical mint tea. WIFI was good and fast.

United StatesNote that the only way to get in is to ring a doorbell, but someone always answered within 30 seconds (even late at night), so this was not problematic.
Riad Berenssi is of the best hotels i have stayed at in all my travels. Mme. Sobha and Abdul were so helpful and kind. They went above and beyond, helping us get around and cooking delicious and gluten-free meals (which are otherwise hard to find reliably in the Marrakech medina). The facilities were clean (outdoor area was even more beautiful than it looked in the photos, rooms had drains that close to prevent the scent from filling the restroom, which was a problem in the other Riads and hotels we stayed at in Morocco, etc). Mr. Abdul coordinated with our taxi driver and helped us carry our bags out at 5 am in the dark so we could get to the airport on time. Prices were very reasonable for dinner. Overall, this was an amazing experience.

GermanyI was greeted by a „helpful local“ in front of the hotel and he demanded money for showing the way. The hotel very likely knows about this trick, but didn’t help me. Everyone just looked at me including the hotel staff and I had to pay the guy. And he demanded even more. I expect the hotel staff to tell him to leave me alone. Besides that, I hurt myself in the bathroom because the door is quite hard to open.
The bed was very comfortable and the personnel was super friendly.

PortugalA little hard to find on arrival from the airport by taxi - probably more the taxi driver's fault rather than the Riad's .... although the signage could do with improving along with a better description of how to find the Riad .
The staff were absolutely fantastic , nicely decorated and comfortable rooms , lovely roof top terrace to chill on in the evenings , breakfast was basic , typical Morrocan , a really nice place to stay .

United KingdomVery helpful and kind staff who will look after you. Nice sun terrace where you can enjoy breakfast. I had a junior suite and it was very comfortable and good value. I would happily stay there again. It was walking distance from the main souk and tourist attractions but away from the main square, making it a calmer and more peaceful stay than in the riads right in the centre.

United KingdomWhen you enter the riad you wonder what you have let yourself in for! You go down a dark alley which is not so clean - but enter in the Riad and you are in a different peaceful world.
We loved our stay at Riad Berenssi! All of the staff worked so hard to ensure our experience of Marrakech was great. We had a slight confusion about our stay because we had believed we would have our own fridge and cooking facilities but there is not. However, the staff did everything to accommodate our needs - Sobha, Hassan,Abdul and the whole team really looked after us . The Riad is clean and the room comfortable, there is a rooftop terrace with sunbeds and you might get to meet the pet tortoise. A good continental breakfast every day and you can order extras like eggs for additional fee. We had some evening meals at the riad some nights which were also very good. The location is very central and uou can walk into the Medina - about 2km.

ItalyRoom walls are thin so you might have problems with morning noises.
First of all staff is literally amazing, super cute and extremely proactive. Position is amazing, downtown but not a touristic area. Best ever to live the real city. Still, to reach the main square you just need 15m by walk. Clean authentic rooms and super nice common spaces (pool, living room). Bed extremely comfortable.

PolandWe had a pleasant stay at the Riad, all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. The entire Riad is well maintained and has a large swimming pool and terrace. Also the breakfast was great, Moroccan style, mostly sweet, with fresh orange juice and coffee. We didn't have a chance to try but Riad also offers nice dinner by the pool. Thank you for our stay!

The Riad itself is right in the heart of the Medina, the pictures on the booking reflected 100% the reality. Breakfast was delicious, available until 11am.
