Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe noise cancellation in the rooms could be a bit better but it’s not too bad.
The staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Especially if you’re from somewhere like the UK, Morocco can be very different but the staff at the Road make you feel at home. Would highly recommend

GermanyThe breakfast was I guess very Moroccan, so I didn't understand it, it was mostly sweet spreads. Wish there were more savoury options.
I loved the design, the rooms and the rooftop terrace. It's a really beautiful place.

United Kingdomnothing!
Very cute, lovely big terrace to sit out in the sun. Stuff were nice. Bit out of the medina (only 15-minute walk) which is really a great escape. We have also stayed in the heart of Jemaa el-Fnaa another time and found it really overwhelming so this Riad was perfect location-wise.

United KingdomReally beautiful Riad, so relaxing and quiet. Super clean and all facilities are really good. The images are a true reflection to the Riad, which you must bear in mind when looking. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. If one of them didn’t understand us, there was always someone at the end of the phone or around to help. They are all really helpful, not pushy, they just helped with options available to us and could help book tours. The Riad is really close to a main gate of the old town, so not so far to walk after taxi. It’s tiny bit difficult to find, so make sure you have a map, as you could miss the left hand turn into that street. It’s a little far from the square, but that’s actually for the best, one visit to the square is enough (go at night). There are close calmer places to eat than the square and cheaper. The breakfast was really good too, nice and fresh, so don’t miss that. A lovely peaceful roof terrace, plenty of comfy seating in and out of shade. If I return to Marrakech, I would 100% stay here. It’s just so peaceful and relaxing and the staff and really welcoming!!

PortugalIt would be nice to have the breakfast available earlier as long most of excursions starts at 9. I also suggest having some fruits for the breakfast.
Very authentic Moroccan stay, room was very comfortable, silent and could be very dark for the night. It was being cleaned daily and they changed towel every day. The terrace was very nice and quiet, the home made breakfast was delicious. Staff were very friendly. Regarding the location, is feet walking distance to the main points in town. Following the Google maps is not hard to find it.

SpainCould perfectly hear the neighbours(but I guess is like this in all Riads). No fresh air, as the window is to the closed garden.
Cozy, nice and clean Riad. Made with style, just like on the pictures, nice salon. Location is good, 20 min. to the center of Medina. Personnel is good, breakfast was delicious.

MoroccoBreakfast was okay, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Also it was advertised as a Queen but it was in fact a full-size. Not big enough for a couple.
Beautiful riad, amazing terrace. Good rooms and bathroom. Greeted with a delicious tea and some nice biscuits. Wonderful staff. We were able to leave our bags at the riad, past our check out, so we could explore the city more and not have to lug our things around before our train departure.

GermanyThe shower didn’t drain at all while showering. This seems to be a fairly common problem in riads given the age of the buildings but still it made showering not the most pleasant experience. It’s a 20 minute walk from the souks and main square which isn’t very convenient if you want to explore the souks at night. The walk was not a straight forward and wouldn’t have been possible without the use of GPS.
The riad is easily reached once your dropped off by a taxi at the Medina gate (2 min walk). Very clean and beautiful house, room, and bathroom. The employees were nice and accommodating. Because it is at the very edge of the Medina it’s actually in walking distance (10-15 minutes) to the new part of the city where lots of cafes and restaurants are.
