Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany*Location is great ( well... you need to find it first, but the locals will help you find it, and it is written in red on the walls how to get there once you are close to Place Rcif). It's proximity to Place Rcif, where the petit taxis are, walking distance to the tannery, a great starter point to discover the Medina. *Staff uncredibly helpful and really really kind. If there are any problems they are there to help you with whatever you need. ( The lady in the kitchen makes a great tajine btw) * Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Super super clean. * The view from the terrace is great. Perfect plate to rest and enjoy the view after spending hours in the crowded Medina.

FranceThere wasn't much to dislike! Our room wasn't amazingly-well ventilated or sound-proofed, but I expect this is the same in every riad, and it wasn't a big problem. Otherwise, perhaps the food could be more varied, but again, it was not a big problem, and everything was home-cooked and tasty.
We really enjoyed our stay and it was great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the riad was very clean and really nicely decorated. The view from the rooftop was great, and the food was good too. It is located in the heart of the maze-like medina, but the staff are always on hand to help you find your way if needed. There was a family-like atmosphere within the riad, amongst both the staff and guests.

MoroccoThe location of the riad was outstanding with an incredible rooftop view over the Medina. The host (REDWAN) and also the staff were very helpful and kind. Additionally, the architecture inside the riad was not only beautiful but also has historic value. Very good value for money and 100% recommended!

PolandThere was nothing we didn't like:)))
Very helpful staff. Excellent location and the rooftop view is breathtaking. Not so many of them in Fes, Medina, so it's worth any extra penny to pay for it. The best thing is, that if you travel through Morocco in winter, they provide heaters or air-conditioned rooms. Quite crucial for usually cold nights in here. We will definitely be back....

NetherlandsThey could work a bit on the WiFi signal, which comes and goes in the top-floor room where we stayed. Perhaps a WiFi range extender is all it takes.
Ouma is a fantastic manager! On top of the regular service she delivers with good manners - booking a taxi, arranging a tour, sightseeing and shopping tips - you can count on her assistance for any reasonable request you might have: a spare hair drier, printing flight tickets, accompanying us to a local shop to change banknotes. The Riad is a little gem.

SpainOur two night stays at Riad Fes EL KAID was a delightful experience. The warmth and friendliness of the managers made our visit truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality and genuine kindness were evident, creating a welcoming and home-like atmosphere. We opted to have dinner at the riad, and it was a fantastic decision. The culinary expertise of the chefs shone through, providing us with a delicious and satisfying meal that exceeded our expectations. Speaking of comfort, the bed in our room was incredibly comfortable. After a day of exploring Fes, sinking into that cozy bed was a dream, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The riad's location within the medina was perfect, offering the charm of the old city while being conveniently close to one of the gates. This made it easy for us to explore the bustling streets and landmarks of Fes without getting lost in the labyrinthine alleys. One notable aspect is the excellent value for money. Riad Fes EL KAID offers a fantastic balance between quality and affordability.

ItalyThe windows of the room where not fitting perfectly in the wall so some air was entering...not the best in January
The place is very nice, with a fantastic terrace. Rooms are basic but ok. Position is very good, close to one of the main square so easy to remember (important in Fes medica where you can easily get lost). Food is very good. Value for money is super. Staff is the best. All good but a note of merit to Redouane, super professional, always ready to help (including bringing you to the restaurant at night to not get lost n the Medina), always smiling and finding a solution. A 5 star member of the staff

ItalyDuring our stay in Morocco we have visited many Riad and they were all very good, however El Kaid was our favourite. The attention to detail in this riad is simply amazing. The building itself is beautiful with a lovely terrace. The location is excellent: Fes medina is beautiful but very busy, however the riad is easy to find and is close to a city door that can offer you an escape from the medina chaos. The riad is also quiet despite being in the old medina. Our room was nice and had all the essentials. In the riad we had a very nice dinner, which I recommend, you just need to let staff know a few hours in advance. The breakfast provided was really good. The staff was excellent. They went above and beyond for us, they gave us a lot of information and helped us a lot. Fes airport requires you to print the boarding pass, if you ask the staff can print it for you for 15 dirhams per person. The staff arranged a guide to visit Fes for us: Moustafa, he was very professional and gave us a great tour of the medina for 15€ per person. The staff also helped us to find a spa/hammam experience in another riad nearby (riad Bab Rcif), this was quite expensive: We paid 60€ per person for the private hammam and a massage. We found the hammam experience lacked atmosphere, the room was small and not impressive, but it left us with a very soft skin. However, I think next time I would prefer a hammam facility with more atmosphere. The massage was amazing, very relaxing, and it was performed in a professional way. All in all, going back to the Riad el Kaid we had a wonderful stay and we were impressed by the attention to detail and the excellent staff, this Riad has great value and I definitely recommend it for your stay in Fes.

We had a fantastic night in this very nice Riad. The owner had sent someone to the parking lot to pick us up and carry the luggage. It was a 4 min walk to the Riad. Very close to the tannery but it doesn't bother you. We had a spacious room with air conditioning, great bed and everything very clean. The staff is very friendly and will help you with everything. It was a very rich and delicious breakfast. Top!
