Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Excellent location, 3 minutes walk from the main 'square', but in quiet side alley. Interesting traditional Riad building. Basic but comfortable rooms with all facilities. Good, filling breakfast in rooftop restaurant. 24 hour helpful, staff presence.

United KingdomThe roof terrace wasn't suitable for sunbathing as had been told, no sunbeds or space for them. The man who welcomed me was lovely and helpful but later there was another person who wasn't so helpful and rather grumpy so I had to get help elsewhere. There was hand soap in the room but there wasn't shampoo or conditioner which the ad suggested.
Attractive Riad. Roof terrace was lovely and breakfast was great, plenty of good coffee. Room pleasant and comfortable. Met some nice people there.

PortugalNothing. It was everything ok.
The.hotel.was.very well located on the Medina, what made very easy to visit the city. The riad was beautiful, with lots of details. Everything was very clean.Every day they change the towels and clean the Room. The breakfast was excelent, bread, fresh iogurte, fresh Juice, eggs, pancakes and marrocan bread, Cake...served by very nice and friendly persons. The Riad also had tourist services and transfer to and from the airport. We used the transfer and everything was ok. We left the hotel at 2 AM and it was perfect. In 3 minutes you are on Jemaa El Fna and on a very busy area but in a very quiet área were you ear little birds singing. It was a wonderfull stay and I will recommend to everybody.

United Kingdomthe bathroom was mostly nice and clean. It randomly had a leak the morning I checked out. The TV did not work. There was a bit of a language barrier with the receptionist. There was only a hair dryer at reception upon request. It would be nice to have one extra person on staff to walk tourists, especially women, later in the evening if they need to go out in the medina. If city tax can't be included in the bill, please mention to travellers to have dirhams on hand to pay separately at reception. Some bottled water should be in the room upon arrival. I arrived late, and I needed to step out late at night after sunset to get filtered water upon arrival.
The breakfast was well rounded (not all riad breakfasts include eggs, theirs did) and the service was great. The room was nice. The cleaning staff was kind, attentive, and proactive. The bathroom was nice and clean. The decor and terrace were beautiful and they had an excellent view. Great value for money. It was very close to the plaza and very central in location. The receptionist helped me with my luggage to my room. My best stay in Marrakesh. I would have stayed more days if they were not already booked out the other days I needed.

United KingdomThere were ants in the bedroom (not uncommon in marrakech). And this didn’t impact my feelings about the cleanliness of the room. At one point we were told the water was off in the riad, but this was fixed almost immediately. Staying in the centre of the medina is amazing but be warned that the consistent noise and harassment when walking the streets gets too much after more than a couple of days!!
Couldn’t get more central if you tried, right in the heart of the medina, but still very quiet at night! You step out of the door to every shop and restaurant you could want. Breakfast on the terrace every day was a delight. Eggs, all kinds of moroccan bread, yoghurt, a different fruit every day, cake, orange juice and teas. Bedroom and bathroom were also very clean, not to mention the riad tiling is stunning.

United KingdomThis is hard to write as there was lots to like about this riad.... Sadly, the noise kept me awake almost all night for 4 nights :( and I can sleep through most things! You can expect some courtyard noise in Riads, but I have stayed in many, and this was the worst I have experienced. The internal and external doors don't provide adequate soundproofing. Sadly, some guests were very noisy, loud and inconsiderate, but that isn't the fault of the riad. Although they do have a quiet policy. Also, the main riad doors (with lots of people passing by and talking etc) were open late, which didn't help (but maybe better than door bells and knocking into late at night). Even when the doors were closed, I could hear mopeds all night long and suitcases on streets. The bathroom drains have an odour. Again, not uncommon as it is the old town, so I could live with that. I was on the ground floor and maybe the higher floors didn't experience some of the noise and odour issues. Also, riads usually greet you at check-in with mint tea and a chat/welcome, but I was pointed to my room and told my passport would be ready in ten minutes. Hot and cold soft drinks are available on the rooftop at reasonable prices, but I wasn't told that at check-in! It's a great service for guests but the guests need to be told about it! I know the city well, so didn't need a map or tips, but I still like hearing new recommendations, so it was sad none of this was offered. Given the price, I felt I couldn't rate this riad lower but needed to be honest about my experience.
The location is excellent for accessing the main places and transport options. It's also easy to find even if you don't know the city. Everything was super clean. Breakfast was great and typically moroccan. Yoghurt, fruit and fresh juice aren't always included so these were a definite bonus. a As was easy access to unlimited tea and coffee. I had the chance to view some upper floor rooms, and they were lovely. The decor throughout is gorgeous. They kindly printed my boarding card. Hot water was always available in the shower.
