Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower taps not always working properly but it was not a big issue, it got there in the end.
Locationwas perfect for the medina, situated in a quieter area but only a few minutes to the main square. The riad was an oasis of peace to come bsck to after experiencing the chaotic souks. Bubble tea was free and plentiful and served always with smiles from the guys Mohammed, Ibrahim and Said were truely good hosts and provided an real authentic morrocon experience. Breakfast was exceptional, fresh, homemade and different each day, served on the terrace, it was beautiful and peaceful. The riad looks exacrly like the photos. Room was comfortable, aircon was welcome, the girls cleaned room each day to a top standard and provided fresh linen each day. Special thanks to Najwa who was so kind and helped with a personal issue. 10/10 recommend.

ThailandWe had an amazing stay at Astra Damus! The staff is super gentle and ready to assist you with anything. The breakfast they serve it’s just a great start to the day and the location is perfect. The room has everything you might need and all the riad is in a colorful Marrakech style. Located in the Medina and walking distance to all the major attractions (a part from jardin majorelle but just because that is the a bit far) and to many good and nice restaurants. I 100% recommend this riad and for sure would go back!

United KingdomWe felt the riad was good value for money and so there was nothing that we didn’t like.
The staff here are amazing. If you need anything, they will be sure to help and we felt at home as a result. The cleaning staff and those who prepared our breakfast always went the extra mile. Such lovely, kind people - thank you for making our stay so great. We really enjoyed the location - close to lots of the places we wanted we visit etc. Despite being close to the busier parts of the medina, it’s lovely and quiet inside the riad.

GermanyIt was a bit tricky to find the Riad, is not well indicated. You can really hear the noises from the inner courtyard - which in our case were really few and not loud, to be fair - as the windows are not really insulating.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Located in the very center of the Medina, very practical to rest during the day. Nice rooftop where breakfast is served. Spacious room and big, comfy bed.

PortugalFrom the moment you step into this little gem is perfect. The property itself is very beautiful, well maintained and filled with traditional details that make it feel like home rather than a hotel. However, what makes the experience special are the people working there. Ibrahim, Said, Nassim, Mohammed and the ladies who work with them are simply wonderful as people and as hosts. They keep the space very clean and safe. The breakfast is very tasty and the staff is willing to prepare it for you even at odd hours. The Riad is located some 10 minutes walk through the souks to the main square. The property is on a very quiet side alley, completely isolated from the outside noise. All in all, it was a wonderful stay in a home where everyone makes sure you wake up with a smile and go to bed with a smile.

United KingdomThe Riad was a perfect location from all the local attractions, souks and restaurants. It is about a 15 minute walk from the main square and 2 minutes into the souks. Despite being in a busy location, when you walk into the Riad it is tranquil and quiet. The building itself was stunning with great views from the rooftop. The rooftop had loungers and tables/ chairs perfect for relaxing in the sun and for eating breakfast. The Riad provides an amazing breakfast each morning. The room was beautiful and cleaned daily to a high standard. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind and could not have made us feel more welcome. They were very helpful for organising transport to and from the airport and into the new city when we needed this, helped us with maps and contacting our second hotel on our behalf to make things easier for us. The Riad staff provided very personal experience, they were always at hand and willing to help, offering drinks and blankets in the evenings. We enjoyed their company so much, that we even returned for the afternoon on our way back from the desert to say goodbye. We plan on returning to Marrakech very soon and there is no question as to where we will be staying. Very beautiful place with beautiful people.

DenmarkThis has nothing to to with the Riad, but we booked the trip from the hotel. The bus tour to the Atlas mountains was not good at all. Watch out for very irritating "local guides" that wants you to eat in a special very expensive restaurants,,,You dont have to use this guide and you dont have to eat at a special restaurant. The trip to Essaouira was very nice!
This Riad is just perfect, The room was so beautiful, lovely design and very clean. We rented one of the suites for 8 days which was perfect for a small family. The breakfast is very good , a lot of things to choose from. Served on the rooftop. The very best part is the staff, you feel like you are at home. So friendly and lovely. It is quiet and nice inside the Riad although you live in the center of the Medina. I could go on... I recommend this Riad 100%

The Riad is beautiful, in a great location just slightly off the busy Medina. Don't be put off by the entrance, once you're inside it's a haven of peace and tranquility. Room was not big but had all the character of Marrakesh, lovely. Breakfasts on the rooftop terrace served by Said were amazing, different options every day, cooked by a lovely lady and sweet young girl who also dealt with housekeeping. Said is so polite and friendly. Great start to the day! Staff at the Riad go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Ibrahim, the manager offered us help and advice and was very engaging in conversation. He walked us to our taxi on the day of our departure, nothing was a problem for him. I recommend the airport taxi service (€15) which leaves you 10mins walk away from the Riad. Mohammed was waiting for us there and walked us to the Riad, (impossible to find your way on your own!). It was quite late at night and he still sat down with us (over mint tea) to go over a city map and explain everything. Highly recommend this Riad, would definitely stay again. Thank you Astra Damus for a memorable stay!

United KingdomIn Marrakech things are getting arranged through a friend of a friend of a friend shall we say. There have been a couple of instances during our week of stay whereby the communication with the activity organisers and/or the transport and the hotel managers was poor therefore resulted in delays +/- last minute change of our plans. Room was a bit noisy due to the acoustic of the hotel.
We really enjoyed breakfast and breakfast terrace, as well as the location of the hotel, which was in the centre of it all really. The staff were super helpful and kind. Really thankful about the tips they gave us at check-in. They even bought gluten free bread for me to have at breakfast which I really appreciated as I was carb deprived being a coeliac traveller in Marrakech. Our room was exactly like the pictures, very pretty and cleaened on a daily basis! Very impressed about how well kept the Riad was in general.
