Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThere was a hole in the shower (we got the explanation beforehand) however it made the showering quite uncomfortable and difficult as we had to make sure we’re not gonna flood our room, which it almost happened every time. Also, the accommodation is quite hard to reach - from the point you park your car - walking on a narrow path for about couple of minutes - the first time you definitely need someone showing you the path as you’d not believe there can be something at the end of it.
The view from the terrace was simply breathtaking - my absolute favorite about this property.

Jnane Karma was a fantastic place to stay! The hosts were amazing and so helpful and accommodating. We had dinner there both nights of our stay and it was really amazing each time. The breakfasts were also incredible and it was fantastic to have an authentic Moroccan experience. The rooms were very clean. We had a balcony which had an incredible view of the Atlas mountains. The pool was also excellent and also had such great views. We absolutely loved staying here!

IrelandOn my first night, my room got flooded with water from a hole in the shower. This was rather stressful!!! There was no hairdryer in my room. When I asked for one, this was quickly rectified. For me personally, there was too much bread for breakfast, maybe some fruit and yoghurts to cater for wider dietary needs. The Riad is located 2kms from the village of Imlil with some dirt tracks to be negotiated. For me personally, this was not a problem as an avid hiker and did lend itself to full immersion into village life. You are very much immersed in Morrocan village life with very limited tourist infrastructure, which may not appeal to everyone. I think the information that is sent to clients on booking.com needs to be updated. I was charged €40 for the taxi rather than the stated €35.
This Riad is phenomenal with many traditional features. My room was exquisite with a balcony and direct access to the terrace with amazing Atlas Mountain views. A kettle, coffee, and sugar were available in the room. Filter water was also available in the communal area. The pool area was fab and well maintained with ample seating and some sun loungers where I relaxed one afternoon to the sound of sheep, donkeys, and chickens utter peace and tranquility. Personally, I did not feel comfortable using the pool as located in rural Morrocco, respecting local culture, but certainly dipped my toes in, and it was so refreshing. Traditional Morrocan breakfast provided. I appreciated the lovely coffee, freshly squeezed juice, and the messaman. Hospitality was well balanced and organised a taxi to Marrakech. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Riad, an amazing property with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains for 2-3 nights.

United KingdomBe aware you can’t drive direct to the hotel. Parking is next to the river and then approx 300-400m to walk on a rough path. We loved it but might not suit everyone, The owner is really helpful and helped carry our luggage.
Beautiful quiet village location in Imlil. Picturesque walks direct from the hotel. The outdoor terraces with Mountain views are especially nice. Breakfast was served on the lower one and was delicious, We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t warm enough when we were there as the location is already quite high in the mountains, but it looked lovely - perfect for summer. Rooms were comfortable, and the owner is very helpful. We would stay again.

DenmarkThe Riad was a great place, with amazing outdoor spaces to take in the views and surroundings. It was situated with a view over the valley and Toubkal mountain. The pool area is a perfect place to cool off and relax. Muhammad and his wife made you feel right at home. They prepared amazing food - breakfast and dinners. A place we will definitely come back to.

United KingdomThe food was a bit basic/ language barrier made it a bit hard to communicate but we managed to find everything we needed. And we got fed every day on time.
The location ( bit of a mission to get to as it’s off the main road) please only book if your able to make the random road and gravel hill. But the view was due to its location and it was exceptional. The place is cheap and a good base for hiking! Please know this area is really basic and the village is not modern in any way, but it’s an adventure.

United KingdomAbsolutely loved our stay in Jnane Karma. It is a beautiful riad with wonderful hosts in a really picturesque location. Mohammed and his wife were so helpful and kind throughout our stay. When I mentioned it was my birthday she baked me a delicious cake, which I thought was extremely nice of her. Our room was perfect and the view was even better. We also had dinner here both nights, the food was delicious and it was very cosy sitting by the fire. I wish I could have stayed here longer.

Had an amazing 2 night stay, wish it had been longer, Mohammed was great and so were the tagines!!! We were unable to trek and he joined us in our car to take us on an amazing drive around local villages that we would not have found without his help. He also took us to a local market. Everything was amazing and the views from the terrace outside the room are incredible. Please dont hesitate to book this place and have an amazing time. We will be back.

United KingdomWe loved everything. Mohammed basically said "no problem" to anything we asked - love him :)
Mohammed served breakfast to us on the main terrace... a lovely selection of local honey, almond butter, bread olives etc. while watching the sunrise over the mountains... so yes a very lovely breakfast experience :) The view from the terrace and our room (with balcony adjoining main terrace) was unbelievable. It was so good, we immediately booked another night as soon as we arrived! Mohammed helped organize a guided hike with his friend Omah over one of the nearest mountains, and lunch with a local family on the way back. We ate dinner every night at the Riad... lovely tagines and grilled meats cooked by Mohammed and his wife. There are some nice little cafes and restaurants in Imlil, which is about a 25min walk from the riad, including the slightly precarious stretch between riad and road (maybe not advisable for those who struggle to walk).

United KingdomI loved the place and the owner Mohammad was an absolute hero. We arrived in the storm, with a flat tire and sick. Him and his wife took care us of like their own family. They helped us repair the tire which allowed us to leave safely. To make the stay positive they have arranged a donkey trip for us for the next stay to help us see the area as we wouldn't be able to do it ourselves due to sickness.
