Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe only negative thing is the bad smell of the bathroom, with little ventilation (both are normal for riads inside of the medina)
Great hospitality. Quality and abundant moroccan breakfast. One of the best coffees we had in Morocco. Beautiful decoration. Quiet and calm.

SpainBeautiful Riad, very tastefully decorated. We got a great room and Abdou did everything in his power so our stay as as memorable as it could be. It is easy to locate and within a short walk of the main streets. He was super attentive and helped us with anything we needed. Definitely recommend it and would return again to help Abdou continue with his dream riad!

United StatesWe loved our stay here! The hospitality was incredible and the building is beautifully renovated. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel at home, including mapping out an itinerary for our day and helping us navigate the Medina. He also accommodated our early morning departure. The view from his terrace was one of the best views of our trip, and the room was beautiful and comfortable. Definitely worth the value!

We were given a beautiful large room with dining area as well, accomodation was very clean and well-maintained. The host was super accommodating and waited for arrival from a delayed flight and came to pick us up in town center as well. The host has worked very hard and has built the property with the moroccan themes and cultures in every single room. Property is also very secure with great security system in place.

Abdou, the owner exceeds the high standards of Moroccan hospitality. It was a delight staying here. The Dar was the family home and took Abdou 3 years to renovate and create this great guesthouse. It is full of original features and artifacts and is very tasteful. Location is perfect Easy 5 minute access to Bab el Guisa and 15 minute walk into heart of the Medina. If you stay here, don't miss the complimentary Harissa soup and rice filled pastries. The help is great. We had a Maroc Telecom SIM card problem having bought one at the airport for EU20. It locked out. Abdou found a new one with data. Said it was 40. I assumed EU40. It was 40MAD or EU4. On paying at the end of our four night stay paid him 400MAD/EU40. He corrected this mistake immediately, rather than pocketing an easy profit. Refreshing honesty. We wouldn't have known any different. If could give more than 10/10 would do.

DenmarkThere was not much not to like. It was a very central riad, but it was difficult to find in the small alleys, so we lost our way all the time. With a bit of help from the locals, we found our way each time though.
It was a beautifully restaurated small riad with a wery friendly host. The breakfast was good (it would have been perfect, if there were real orange juice instead of juice water), and our room was small, but fine and clean, we should only use it for sleep, so it had all we neded.

Beautiful newly renovated Riad restored with alot of heart and passion from the host himself, Abdul. Abdul is a very gracious host and pours his heart and soul into making your stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible - he is always available to help. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Location was ideal to explore the medina, in a peaceful quiet area. The Riad also had a stunning rooftop terrasse we enjoyed reading on. Abdul also set us up a half day private guided tour with his friend Rachid, this was highly worth it as he helps you navigate the Medina through the eyes of a local and takes you to reputable shops if you’re interested in purchasing local souvenirs. All in all, staying at this riad is the perfect way to experience Fes, it’s medina and it’s people.

United KingdomFantastic and tastefully done up riad, conveniently located in a quiet part of the medina, within a 10 minute walk from anywhere you need to be. Abdul is a great host - gracious, helpful and very professional. He goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was scrumptious and ready on time everyday. The host also has helpful tips if you’re looking to buy authentic products from the medina. Would unequivocally recommend this place to anyone!

MexicoBathroom shower a little bit uncomfortable as is located on a wall were the water spills (bathroom and shower are combined). Was a lil difficult to open main door. Maybe we were not very skilled hehe. Breakfast should start earlier for those who have excursions or would like to go out early to explore.
Mohamed was very nice, picked us up where taxi dropped us off and gave us suggestions on what to do and where to go, also allowed us to leave our luggage after checkout for few hrs. Thanks. Loved the riad decoration, delicious breakfast. Very peaceful.

CanadaOur host Abdul was great! The hospitality at this riad was unmatched and there is some really impressive hospitality throughout Morocco! His brother, Medhi picked us up at the airport and was kind and helpful. We arrived late at night so Medhi showed us our room. In the morning, Abdul and his wife had breakfast ready. Abdul sat with us after breakfast and gave us an orientation on the Fes medina and gave suggestions for our 5 days in Fes and helped us enter them into google maps. He answered every question we had and helped us with getting a sim card that morning. Abdul was also available through messages at any time which was handy. He was a wealth of knowledge and took us to a few different spots and helped with details every day. The property is very charming and rustic. The decor is fantastic and different in all of the rooms. The bed is comfortable but firm. The stairs are really cool but narrow (which gives you support). The rooftop is spectacular! The views are great and we found it to be a perfect spot to plan each day. The sunrise is also beautiful from up there! There is an uncovered portion and a covered portion for when the sun is too hot. One detail I did not notice beforehand is that every riad has a city tax. It is not a big cost but it is good to know so it is not a surprise. It is on the booking.com page, I just didn't notice. There are a lot of great places to stay in Fes but this is the only one with Abdul. We will be back again!

The traditional Moroccan breakfast every morning is amazing. One day he even prepared the Harira soup and other Moroccan pastries for us in the evening. He always tried to accommodate our needs and gave us some useful recommendations. Definitely recommend this riad for people visiting Fez.

Abdul was an absolutely amazing host. His hospitality, suggestions and the entire Riad was incredible and truly above and beyond. New ZealandNothing! Everything was lovely!
Staying in Riad Dar Kirami was an amazing experience. The location is great, right by Bab Guissa (where you can catch the taxis) and only a five minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the medina. The riad was beautiful, by far the most traditional and most ornate one we stayed at in Morocco. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, the roof top terrace was a special treat. But by far the highlight is the host and his family. He is so kind and hospitable, he did everything he could to make our stay in Fes as comfortable as possible. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Would definitely stay again.
