The room was small for a family of 5 and not many furniture to place our things. Maybe too expensive.

A beautiful riad with onsite parking and so close to the medina. Staff and owner were incredibly friendly, they even gave us dinner after a long journey to get there. This is the place to stay if you’re coming to Fes.

Stayed here for two nights. The Riad itself is incredibly beautiful, everything is spotlessly clean and features Moroccan tile work, fabrics, carpets and carving. It feels like you are living in a palace. The view over the Medina from the rooftop terraces is spectacular. Everything in the Medina is within easy walking distance, yet inside the Riad all is peace and serenity. The included breakfast is out of this world, and the staff is kind, attentive to every need, and yet never intrusive. We loved every minute of our stay. One caveat is that like in most buildings inside the Medina, the stairs are quite steep and may be difficult for people with mobility issues to navigate. This is truly the only potential issue, all other modern conveniences such as WiFi, running hot water, and in room climate control have been provided while maintaining the historical look of the rooms to the greatest extend possible. Can highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

The room was dimly lit, and the shower area was quite drafty which is important given the time of the year.

This riad is in a good location, accessible by car, and 2 minutes walk to the Medina. The welcome drink and snack, and breakfast were excellent and in large quantities.

The bedroom was quite cold. We were there in December and couldn’t get the heating to work. Small point which I’m sure has been rectified.

Fantastic location close to the medina. Traditional Riad with great character and decor. Exceptionally helpful staff. Jerome was flexible with our booking and the staff were very helpful when my son got sick (nothing to do with the Riad!) and booked me another taxi to the airport last minute when mine didn’t show up!

I absolutely loved this place, Riad Layalina is an oasis on the very edge of the medina right by the blue gate. My room was beautiful with a fantastic view of the medina and surroundings. Fantastic architecture and interior, wherever you look you are surrounded by beautiful things. the furniture belongs in a museum. Asma is a wonderful host and she can do magical things with a chicken, without exagération I think it was the most delicious chicken I've ever had. If she wasn't already married I would have probably proposed right there and then:) Anez was also very helpful with any question I had or help I needed. I was able to park my car in their private lot which was a relief especially after visiting other riads where this was considerably more complicated.

Great location! Very close to the Blue Gate. Gated onsite parking was a great feature. Excellent customer service, good breakfast and laundry service was provided for a reasonable fee.

As we are big F1 fans we choose this hotel for the fact that it has satellite TV. Despite the very helpful guy at the hotel, unfortunately it wasn’t working.

Happy to have found this gem, smack bang in the middle to explore both sides of the Medina! Unique to have the private secure parking place, Important for us as we have been road-tripping through Morocco and have everything in our car. Nice to change the rooftop tent for a normal bed and en-suite bathroom.

After 2 weeks of traveling in Morocco I can confidently say this was the best riad I stayed at throughout my trip! The riad is so stunning, visually beautiful and such a calm and lovely place. I enjoyed my time so much relaxing by the pool reading on the sofa, or enjoying the terrace for breakfast and dinner. The staff was so incredibly kind and hospitable- so warm and welcoming right from the start and always checking in with smiles on their faces. The last morning of my stay I had to leave extra early and the staff woke up early to make me a mini breakfast and coffee so that I wouldn't leave with an empty stomach! I am so appreciative of that. Everyone at this riad truly made me feel like I was at home, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you all for everything and for your kindness. I will tell everybody to stay here!

the pool could have been little more cleaner.. but wasn't a big deal..

since we are vegetarian, the staff made us enough vegetarian options.. went above and beyond to offer the most they could. the cook is amazing...

I would give 12 points if I could! We have been to many different accommodations during the last couple of years - this was the best by far! It started with the warm welcome, the guys from the Riad were waiting on the road in front of the Riad to say hello to us when we arrived and escorted us to the parking place next to the house. The Riad and the rooms are beautiful! The pool, the gardens and the lighting create a special ambiance. Our hosts were always there if we needed something. The food was excellent, not to forget our professional local guide who gave us a deep insight into life in Fès - in German! Encore une fois un très grand merci à tout l'équipe !! We'd love to come back anytime!
