Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI loved my stay at Riad Nirvana, from the moment I walked in I was welcomed like coming home. Aziz was on hand to give me all the information I needed for my stay and the city and was very helpful. My room was perfect, bed comfy, shower was lovely and hot and the amenities of hairdryer etc were all perfect! Would highly recommend a stay here.

From the moment of booking Aziz was incredibly helpful and accommodating of my requests. The riad is conveniently located near the Saadian Tombs and on arrival, Aziz was there to greet and take me to the riad. I requested a dinner on my first night and it was superb! I felt guilty because I couldn't finish it all but that doesn't show how good it was. He then spent time talking through the must-sees. On another occasion I asked for a later dinner but couldn't eat it as I was full from earlier in the day and they were incredibly gracious and I had it for lunch the following day instead. The breakfast is great although I feel like this could be offered earlier in the morning, however I'm sure they would've had I asked. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious - at times hot & cold but that's probably due to my own temperature fluctuations more than anything! It's a small riad with only 6 rooms but the service is impeccable. No complaints and a really lovely stay for my first time in Marrakech. And my first ever 'hotel' review!

United KingdomNeeds freshening up. Ground floor room-really allowed no privacy, bit claustrophobic. Smelt damp unless aircon on,but understand building old. Pity roof terrace not really useable yet.
It was in a good location. Nice riad. Some areas could do with a freshen up decor wise. Staff excellent . Good breakfast.

SpainThe owner forgot to tell the receptionist about our booking and they didn't have the room we paid available until the next day. So we spent one night in a small room, so small we struggle to walk around the opened suitcase. They charged us the same, and didn't offer any discount. The last day we departed 30 mins before the breakfast starts, and they haven't offered any takeaway breakfast as most hotels do.
Well located. Walking distance from the central square and far enough from the noise. Breakfast was very good, with real fresh orange juice. Filter coffee. But no other gluten free options than eggs. Lovely and helpful staff.

LithuaniaWifi was at times unavailable till the router was restarted. Air conditioning in the room was very strong even on the lowest setting, so it was either too cold or too warm. Pillows were too thick, but that's common in Morocco.
Cosy interior, lots of plants, nice rooftop, really good breakfast, calm neighborhood.

FranceA couple of improvements in our view would be (1) changing the modem so that the wi-fi is more stable; (2) refresh a few areas of the bathroom (especially the shower-head is rather old and the water coming out of it is kind of weak...)
The Riad Nirvana is a beautiful establishment, our room (the suite) was very nice and the rooftop was fantastic); a real Riad located at the heart of the kasbah in the medina of Marrakesh. It is like a family-managed hotel, with the manager (Aziz) is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast they serve (totally home made) is gorgeous).

MoroccoWater pressure is variable - typical for this very old part of town, I believe.
A delightful small Riad that I will be returning to soon! The standard of decoration and facilities, such as bedding, is exceptionally high. The owners go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable and pleasant stay; the riad is also their home and you soon feel like you are staying with friends. I am coeliac and they went to some inconvenience to source gluten free bakery products for my breakfast. Breakfast is excellent! I also liked the location just behind the Saadian Tombs and the Badi Palace in the Kasbah. It's a relatively quiet area and you can walk to the medina easily. It's just a couple of minutes from the road where taxis drop you and the staff are very helpful when meeting you and showing you how to get places. Highly recommended.

United StatesJean Pierre and Anna have a beautiful riad in the Kasbah right next to the Medina. Our room was very large and comfortable. I had mistakenly signed us up as traveling with a baby. I may have to do that again! The location is quiet and peaceful. We loved visiting with them. They were very friendly and helpful. You can see their photo in the riad courtyard below. We also enjoyed a restaurant they recommended that is nearby, Café Zeitoun.

United KingdomWhat made my stay so wonderful were the couple who run the Riad, Jean-Pierre and Anna. Such wonderful hosts who had breakfast with me every morning, as I was a solo traveller. They take care of you like you are family. The location was perfect and safe. I walked around at 2am and felt very safe in the neighbourhood. It is local to many attractions. They will also organise any excursions for you at your request and recommend many places to visit. I had a very short trip in Marrakesh but I will definitely be returning soon and will use Riad Nirvana as my base. And also a big thank you to Aziz for the beautiful and tasteful breakfast every morning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. See you again soon xxx
