    All good

The reception was wonderful from Mohammed, the cheerful person. As for the riad, it is very beautiful and very traditional. We had a very large and clean room. Everything was excellent. I recommend it.

    Great Riad Stay in Meknes

We loved our stay in Meknes. It was our first time in a riad and we were delighted. The interior is very beautiful. We were there in the off season in February, so we were the only guests for our two night stay. There was great communication with our host on how to find the riad, for example, which gate to get a taxi to, which alleyway to walk down to find the accommodation, etc. The location is good. It is very close to Lahdim Square, Bab El Mansour Gate, and Dar Jami Museum. Unfortunately, during our stay Bab El Mansour and Lahdim Square were undergoing renovations, so we didn't get to have the full effect.

This charming riad is located in the heart of the medina. Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, as is the rest of the riad. Despite the bustle of the medina, we found the riad to be surprisingly quiet (although you will, of course, still hear some noise from the busy city outside). Mohammad is a kind and generous host, being extremely accommodating with providing an early breakfast when needed, and giving suggestions for local restaurants in the area.

These are things that I have found to be the case in other riads/accommodations in Morocco, so these aren't criticisms but observations to make note of so the traveler can have a better idea of what to expect and plan accordingly: the riad is set back from the main road, so be prepared to walk through the market with your luggage and find the riad. It's not difficult with this one, though. There are no elevators, only narrow stairs, so something to keep in mind if you have lots of luggage, or heavy luggage, or have difficulty with stairs. The mattresses are a bit hard. I have back problems, so they were a little difficult to sleep comfortably on. One more tip when traveling to Morocco that we learned from our daughter, who lives there, is that taxi drivers don't use addresses to find places but navigate by landmarks/known areas, so always ask the manager of a riad/hotel what to tell the taxi driver so he can get you there.

The customer service was very cordial and hospitable. It's a beautiful riad with traditional and very decorative furnishings. It is also within the medina (old city) so it's very close to many shops, cafes and restaurants. Our room was very spacious.

The bathroom was small with poor drainage from the shower base. No other complaints.

Large, spacious room with excellent air conditioner. Quiet part of the Medina. The host was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast provided. Dinner provided was very nice.

Our stay was fantastic! The riad is 600 years old, architecture and design are so authentic and take you to the journey through time. Our room was big with high ceiling and very comfortable. The hosts are so lovely people, it was a great pleasure to have conversations with them. Breakfast was traditional, good and tasty. If you are visiting Meknes, you should definitely stay in this riad as it’s not just a hotel but an extraordinary experience that will enrich you Moroccan trip.

Breakfast is mediocre. Bread and juice was not fresh, only jam served. Small coffee only, can get a second. For extra payment you can order cheese and fried egg. Not much to see in Meknes, much being renovated.

Beautiful riad in the middle of the souk. Beware that on Fridays the whole souk is closed, not much to do.

Breakfast is minimal with bread, olive, butter, jam, coffee and tea. Owner forgot to give me the password to the WIFI despite my repeated requests. My wife found the code on the notice behind the door. We liked to use the kitchen to prepare one lunch and one dinner during our 3 night stay. However, we were asked to pay 50 dirham for using the gas stove. Despite these issues, we had a good stay.

Excellent family resilience. very quiet and peaceful. Location is excellent. Owner upgraded our room from downstairs to upstairs.

It is a nice place, on the side street in the middle of medina, but super calm and noise free at night time. The property is beautiful, I was in awe when I arrived, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. I got local suggestions and I highly recommend this riad.
