Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe riad was beautiful, but what made it an exceptional hotel was the friendliness of the staff. Meryam was so sweet and went above and beyond all our expectations!! We had a hamman while there and I highly recommend it.

BelgiumWhile the breakfast tended to be repetitive, the discovery that eggs could be requested added variety. Dinner, although correct, seemed slightly expensive compared to options in the Medina. Nevertheless, it was an overall great stay.
A delightful Riad in the heart of the Medina, featuring a paradise-like courtyard where breakfast is particularly enjoyable, and well-organized rooms add to the experience.

United StatesBkft was rather limited in scope and did not adjust readily to input from guest. Like all Moroccan setups, it was a rare staff member (see Meriame above) who was prepared to suggesst other than the precanned tour guides, resturaants, etc. Minor details that hurt overrall elevation was a closest door that did not stay closed when shut, and lack of more than 1 trash can for apartment (only one was in bathroom). Also, needed map for finding hotel, Google Map is not up to task in medinas. Could be sent as part confirmation.
Faacilities were well up to what previous reviewers and photos had indicated, excellent overall. All staff members were helpful in addressing routine guests needs. One in particular, Meriame was quite helpful in printing changes in schedules and tickets required by adjustments to one's basic plan. She also actually listened to one's input and would than make recommendations to accomplish that even if requests were not for fanicest food or normal tourist sights/activities.

Everything! It was beautiful. The staff were so kind and attentive. It was a peaceful oasis to come home to after wandering the labyrinth of the Medina, and it was very easy to get to- only a couple of moments away from the Blue Gate.

New ZealandIt was all good.
A lovely oasis of calm and quiet in the busy, noisy Medina. The staff were excellent, with service and organising a very knowledgeable guide for us, plus a taxi and cart for our luggage. The breakfasts were good value and tasty.

SpainNothing to not like.
Absolutely amazing Riad, located very close to tala kebira and the blue gate, right where you want to be inside Fes medina but close to the gate. Really good value for price paid, good breakfast, quiet and spacious room with powerful A/C. A special mention goes to the staff, in particular to Lahcen, who went above and beyond to make our stay friendlier. He gave us several tips on the area, even booked a local restaurant on the phone on our behalf. Will definitely stay in Riad Sabah whenever we return to Fes.

United StatesRiad Sabah was really like an oasis when we walked inside after navigating the dark alleys of the medina. We were warmly greeted, and seated in the center courtyard- which was gorgeous! We were given mint tea and some delicious cookies while our paperwork was being done. (we are still looking to find more of those cookies!) Our bed was very comfortable and the room was cozy and clean. (air conditioner worked great). breakfast was very lovely in the courtyard- with the fountains and the pool. You can also request to eat on the rooftop- which we forgot about. but it has a great view of the city. last- Mariem was super helpful- gave us many tips about the medina- and marked some things on the map for us. But she also suggested an excellent restaurant and called and made a reservation for us for dinner. (which was excellent- and the interior was incredibly beautiful!)

ItalyNothing - everything was perfect.
Riad Sabah was just amazing, pictures do not show properly how pretty it is inside. The position is just perfect, right by Bab Boujloud gate so at the beginning of the medina. Breakfast was great, really clean facilities and staff was super welcoming and warm, in particular Akram was always so available and warm with us, we felt at home. Highly recommended. P.s. don't forget to check out the view from the top terrace!

SpainI love the place, its like a small palace in the Medina, near the main entry and the parking, about 10 minutes walking. Very clean, they speak english perfect, and with an atmosphere very elegant. Its amazing to arrive so tired after 3 hours walking through the Medina, with the hit, and to swim in their pool in the middle of the patio like in the Alhambra, you feel as a Princess!!!!

United StatesWe had a a beautiful 3BR apartment with a small living room. There was a fireplace in our room and someone tried to light it with kerosene, which caused fumes and in the end the fire went out as soon as the kerosene burned. Wish there was a heating source in the living area as we had no way of using it without the fire.
Wonderful staff, beautiful property, best dinner (veg tagging) of our trip. Very helpful ahead of my stay arranging for a tour and driver. Very responsive.

United KingdomWe have nothing negative to say about our stay here. It was absolutely wonderful. Sometimes the little quirks are what gives a place it's magic, "perfection" is over rated
The stay was fantastic, from the welcoming reception to departure, the staff did their best to make us feel at home. They were very helpful and friendly. The staff gave us advice on where to go and how to get there, even including a map of the madinas!! The food was brilliant. We tried food from a local restaurant on our first night but wasn't impressed so decided to have dinner at the Riad the next night - what a pleasant surprise. Dinner was as the Riad for the rest of our stay. The chef exceeded our expectations and gave us a true taste of Moroccan food. Highly recommended. If you love a scenic view with a sunset or sunrise, then we advise you to try out the roof terrace which provides a 360 degree view of "Old Fes" and beyond. Absolutely breath-taking. You have to see to belief.
