This was an authentic Riad which made us feel living like locals in Morocco. The services was excellent and Abdou (the manager) was super helpful with everything. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to experience living the Moroccan way in the stunning Riad.

The Staff was tremendous. They accomodated my family and I wonderfully, with all sorts of fun things to do. Breakfast and Dinner were exceptional. They even had us a bagged breakfast to go, since we had an early flight. I did not have to plan anyting, just told them what we had in mind to do and they planned it all. We will be back.

Booking.com stated a transfer from the airport was included, but we had to pay for this on arrival. An option for English black tea would be good, although the manager Abdoul was very kind and brought me hot water to make tea with my own tea bags.

Beautiful Riad in traditional style but brought up to date for modern expectations of comfort. Excellent breakfast with wide choice including fresh fruit salad and orange juice, with a wide variety of Moroccan bakery products. A freshly made omelette was also produced if asked for.

It’s hard to think of anything I didn’t like but if I had to pick something it would be that the location is a little out of the way from the Medina and you’re going to climb lots of stairs to get back. But that didn’t make it a bad experience at all, it’s nice to be away from the main bustle of the town.

Beautifully designed accommodation and a very helpful staff. The restaurant is very good. Views are amazing. I’ve been traveling all around Morocco and this has been my favorite place to stay (and cheapest).

Look no further. Riad Semlalia was an absolutely beautiful guesthouse, the staff of Ali and Ahmed were beyond hospitable, and the location was great -- just inside the Medina walls but in a quieter area. The bustling souq was just a 10 minute walk away. This felt like a very luxurious stay. The breakfast was over the top. The room was very comfortable. The rooftop was stunning. Again, Ali and Ahmed both did everything they could to ensure a great visit to Fes, including arranging for a day trip, laundry, and train tickets.

I had a perfect stay at Riad Semlalia. A very tasteful mansion near the entrance to the Medina, perfectly quiet, yet just a short walk from the main attractions. Owned by a very distinguished couple, it feels like visiting classy friends rather than staying at a hotel. The service and coordination is managed by Ali, a language talent who seemingly is around 24 hours with constant enthusiasm. I had dinner one evening which I can highly recommend - same goes for the Moroccan breakfast, freshly prepared each morning and super delicious. The owner organized a very good guide who showed me around Fès, plus he also has excellent advise for day trips and traveling in Morocco in general. I can suggest staying at Riad Samlalia to anyone who likes to travel in style and with a personal touch.

There was nothing we did not like! We enjoyed every minute of out time in Fes!

Our home away from home in Fes was everything we hoped it would be: location was perfect; the room had everything we could possibly need/want; the food was excellent, and staff was very friendly and helpful!

Impeccably clean Riad. The staff were so nice and accommodating. They can help you get a real guide and avoid the scams in Fes. The breakfast was great! The pool on the terrace was beautiful. They do have free parking right at the Riad.

    Perfect!

We loved everything about the Riad. It is spectacular and the staff are outstanding. Idris was the most exceptional person we have encountered in hospitality; he handled everything with a calm, respectful, professional manner and we felt very valued as customers. The meals were wonderful and the heated pool was just perfect. Idris arranged guides and drivers who spoke English and were also wonderful. We hope to get back here again. Highly recommend the Riad and Idris.

The staff had little English skills. The price is in our eyes to high for what was offered. You should only book this riad if you plan on using the pool. Otherwise there are similar but cheaper options in fes.

The riad one of the prettiest we came across. And the staff was always there for us. Especially the pool on the terrace was a lifesaver on the hot days.

On the expensive side for Morocoo but we enjoyed our stay. There was a basketball court right outside our window which was quite noisy for a few hours on the day of arrival however the next couple days were much quieter.

Stunning Riad set in Fes. Friendly and helpful staff (especially the concierge!) in every aspect. They even washed our rental car which was a lovely gesture. Sunset was gorgeous up on the roof top, the pool heavenly on a warm day. A 15- minute walk to the Medina .

Riad Semlalia is a beautiful place to stay. It is easy to get to by taxi and has close access into the Medina. The accommodation has been designed with exquisite and intricate artisan work, from mosaic floors, plaster carving and cedar wood design. The pool is a blessing on those hot days, along with comfortable places to relax. Idris, a staff worker in the Riad, looked after every aspect of our stay. He was a guide, served us our meals, translated for us and informed us about what to look out for in the Medina. He even organised train tickets for us. A wonderful man. Thank you Idris.

The property makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale. The room was spacious, beautiful and comfortable. The interior design is strikingly beautiful and inspiring. The food offered in the hotel is exquisite. It gave us a privilege to learn how the authentic Moroccan cuisine is supposed to taste. Both breakfast and dinner were fabulous. Even local people were loving the food served here. What really touched us during our stay at Riad Semlalia is the people living and working there. They made us feel at home with their kindness and hospitality. Our special thanks to Idriss, the hospitality manager. Without him, the Fes experience would not have been the same. Many thanks and our full recommendation to this fabulous riad!

The property was beautiful and in a lovely accessible location in the medina. The roof top pool, the smart TV and beautiful dining area were lovely touches. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept into. If you have the pleasure of meeting Idriss you will feel so welcomed and nothing was ever too much for him and the rest of the staff.
