It was a little noisy. There was no shower attachment on the wall.

Staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Really good locay, just a few minutes walk from all of the restaurants and shops of the Medina. Very nicely decorated with lost of space. The roof terrace is great to watch a sunset from. Breakfast was delicious too!

The breakfast was so good, the room was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and so comfy. There was biscuits, tea and a big bottle of water waiting for me when I checked in and it was in a great part of the Medina. Everyone looked after me very well, especially Khawla

I would have enjoyed some fruit with breakfast but otherwise not much more to say here.

Khaoula and her team were absolutely exceptional from before we even arrived into Tangier let alone checked in! They really do offer a very homely service and went above and beyond for us from organising our taxis to even purchasing a bottle of gin for their (limited) bar for us to drink. Our room was HUGE and the bed was very comfortable. It’s a very charming Riad slightly outside of the kasbah which was preferred for us. The breakfast was perfect and their restaurant menu was really very good value for money too! There’s so much character and charm to this riad and we absolutely loved the explosions of colour throughout the riad for a really uplifting feel. In a nutshell if you’re after warm hospitality in an excellent location with stunning decor and delicious food without having to leave your doorstep then this really is the perfect place for you. It’s very much a mi casa su casa feel.

Nothing it was a perfect location for two nights. The views from the restaurant were beautiful across the city.

The breakfasts were lovely. Beautifully served and a real treat. Mohamed was very kind and came to find me as I had been lead to the wrong Riad upon arrival.

The water did not stay hot so it was hard for two people to take warm showers.

The staff was amazing! Khaoula and her team did a great job accommodating our requests and went out of their way to make us feel welcome!

    • Standard Suite
    • Stayed 5 nights

We did have some disparity about the booking and the price we paid. Originally, we had booked a standard double room. But the we got a message from the booking agency stating that we needed to upgrade to a suite in order to get a private bathroom, so we did (extra $$). The exact description of our room on the booking website stated... "Room Description The air-conditioned suite features 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms with a bath and a shower. The suite provides a dining area, a wardrobe, a sofa , a tiled floor, as well as a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The unit offers 1 bed." As part of my review process I always compare the final result to the description on the website. In this case we did not get what was stated or what we paid for. Here is what we did get ... The air-conditioned suite featured 1 bedroom and ONLY 1 bathroom with a bath and NO shower. The suite provided a dining area, a wardrobe, NO sofa , a tiled floor, as well as a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The unit offered 1 bed. So we basically DID NOT GET an extra bathroom, or a shower or a sofa. We inquired if we could get an adjustment for the discrepancy and were told NO, it must have been a mistake in translation (sorry but NO WAY). They were adamant that this mistake was not their fault and refused to make any adjustment or accommodation. We were very disappointed.

Riad Tanja by Chef Moha Mixed Review. My wife and I absolutely loved the service, the location and the extremely helpful staff at the Riad. Khaula and Norton were especially helpful. The room was lovely in its Moroccan decor and very large. The Riad also has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed live music and some drinks (wine and beer) for the sunset and moonrise. The place was located on the outskirts of the old town so had easy access to the Taxi stand as well as the Medina and Market and Restaurants located in the pedestrian area (watch out for the motorcycles). A full Moroccan breakfast was included and very delicious.
