Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Idris and Isa made us feel at home. They were there for any questions and anything we needed. They made us feel at home and safe. Breakfast was wonderful, made Omelets the way I asked them too. When we went on our tours, packed breakfast to go. Such wonderful human beings and when we had to catch train early, insisted we take food which came in handy. glad for Idris's advice. Location is a block from Medina and in a quite area, just walked there daily for sightseeing, food and shopping. I would go back again.

FranceThe Riad was beautiful. The central garden was a plus. We are a family of 4 and we had the apartment. It was very comfortable and spacious with a central sitting area. The shower was very good. Our boys had to share a double bed, but it was big and not a problem for them. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was excellent, always attentive and providing excellent service. The location was very good as well, 100 meters from the Medina. If you are thinking of staying here, you won't be disappointed.

United StatesThis Riad is the most beautiful and quaint place I have ever stayed. More than that, the staff is incredible and so welcoming. Especially one of the staff, Idris, was the most kind person we met on our trip to Morocco. He made us feel comfortable and at home. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time in Fes. We cant wait to visit Fes again. We will definitely be staying here.

IrelandThey have many birds in cages downstairs, it's really sweet and relaxing hearing them during the day. The downsides are that it is a bit smelly downstairs and in the morning they will wake you up. As soon as the sun rises all of them start making noise. Besides that we had the issue of a cold shower in the morning, as the solar panels didn't heat up the water yet. The only chance to get a hot shower then was to go to the Hammam space on the rooftop and shower there.
We loved the Riad and the architecture, it is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Lovely rooftop with great view over Fès! The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. The location is great, just outside the Medina and we had a car so there was a big parking just around the corner which was very convenient.

United StatesA beautiful plant filled oasis on the edge of the Medina. Beautifully designed and kept, with the friendliest, most hospitable and attentive staff. Due to the extreme heat we spent a lot of time relaxing at the riad which was a pleasure in this case. We were provided with a great vegan breakfast and they took our request for a lot of harissa seriously

United KingdomWe had the family suite and one side of the room did not have air con. We were there in peak heat in August so was very hot in there!
It was just beautiful. As soon as you walk in through the front door it’s like entering a different world - tranquil , calming with the backdrop of birdsong surrounding you! We had the family suite which was lovely too - spacious for the four of us with lovely touches in the bathroom. The rooftop terrace was a great space to escape from the heat with sun loungers and tables. The staff could not have been more welcoming!

NetherlandsThe Riad itself is beautiful. Loved waking up to birds chirping in the morning. The staff, especially Aissa, were great. They helped us with a taxi for a day trip to Meknes. Aissa was very thoughtful with us having breakfast at different times and insisted we eat something since we'd have a long day ahead of us. Very kind and warm. Loved our stay here! Quite close to the Medina as well. Well located.

ItalyThe reception was fantastic. The Riad is charming with a patio full of lush plants and singing piglets, where we were able to enjoy rich breakfasts and some excellent dinners. It was the base for several excursions around and the return was always pleasant, like coming home. The staff is very kind, friendly and professional, beyond expectations. Also very good advice on guides in and out of town. Finally, despite being in the medina it is very close to a car park where access was very easy.

Czech RepublicThe hotel should make clear that you are booking a room on the ground floor, which means very little privacy. One wall of the room is just glass doors and panels separating you from the atrium where other guests relax, eat breakfasts and dinners etc. (the coffee machine runs just centimeters from your head). If you are fine with this, the room is lovely and it's nice that sweeping the curtains away, the lovely atrium makes practically part of your room. If, however, you want some privacy and some natural light in your room, make sure you book a room on the first or second floor. Also, we find it a bit sad that there are so many caged birds in the atrium when it seems plenty of birds keep flying around freely. In our opinion, these would be quite enough to make this the Riad of the Birds.
The bed was large and comfortable, the breakfast was very good and the staff was really helpful and kind. The highlight is the roof terrace and the beautiful atrium.
