Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt wasn’t as clean as I hoped- we paid for one of the top suites and it was so incredibly dusty like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. We were too tired to request a move. It wasn’t dirty but super dusty. So that was disappointing. If you’re muslim, this hotel focuses a lot on the non muslim crowd and there are soooo many pork options, less chicken options. As people who don’t love red meat, it was disappointing on some days as there were mostly pork and then red meat options. Having said that, the food was ok overall. Snacks needed more variety- same sandwiches everyday and same food as the lunch time. That was disappointing. Also there should be a room service option even if at extra charge. Travelling with a small child means it can be tiring and hard to meet the specific meal times sometimes. We did wish we had the option to order to the room. The pools were definitely not heated so we couldn’t use them much due to the windy weather. I would ask that they properly heat at least one pool especially for young kids in the non summer seasons.
amazing staff and the facilities are fantastic. Amazing pools and proximity to the beach. Breakfast was fantastic!

IrelandEvening entertainment was average. The shows were not in keeping with the hotel standard. There was limited atmosphere in the evenings..The aircon in the rooms (we had two) was either ineffective or not working. We did not address this with the hotel so may have been unlucky. It did not impact on our stay. Delayed checkout departure costs extra
Good hotel with superb staff. A five star hotel. Great rooms, located on beach, good gym, good food, civilised feel to poolside and open areas. Guests were well behaved. We travelled as a family and had two rooms. The rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Certainly the staff were excellent and always had a smile. The majority seemed to have English and the hotel felt safe. The crowd was a combination of Uk, German and French families. It is not a party central hotel, nor is it lively. It is a lovely family hotel with mature guests ideal for a winter break. An evening stroll on the excellent promenade outside was good. You were not hassled on these walks by vendors. The beach is great and the sea wonderful. A safe and welcome vacation for our gang . Kids aged 16, 18, 20

United KingdomI would say it's more of a holiday for retirement, rather than for a young family as there isn't much to do. Some slides for kids would be great but these points aren't very relevant as it was never sold as this type of resort, more of a nice to have for a younger crowd.
Resort is stunning, beautiful grounds with a high-end feel. Staff are very good and attentive, food options are good. Weather wasn't too warn so didn't use the outdoor pool but used the indoor pool frequently which was nice. Facilities great, kids club good too - get's very good light and animations team are welcoming. Private beach is also nice and clean.

United KingdomThe hotel is to be refurbished this year. The rooms need updating. They are clean but outdated.
The pool area is nice and clean. It's also not too loud so a very relaxing place to be. The beach area is beautiful. The domestic staff really look after the rooms daily. Breakfast and lunch are lovely. Omelettes are amazing. Dinner could have more choice.

IcelandThe room, we had at least, isn't up to par with the luxury feel of the hotel. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, the blinds didn't close all the way, it was just dated. We were once met with a very rude waiter at breakfast as we somehow managed to get in the middle of some argument between two waiters. And when we addressed it she didn't change her manners. So for the rest of the trip we avoided her area. And if you're going to serve cocktails at a nice hotel like this don't use syrups. There is plenty of fresh produce in Morocco to make excellent fresh virgin or no virgin cocktails.
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday in Agadir in January/February. The staff is excellent whether it's the reception, restaurants, pool area or wherever you find them. They're friendly, helpful and happy. The swimming pool area is very nice, we never had trouble finding sunbeds and one of the pools is heated which is a nice touch when the temperature isn't scorching. The food is very good and they change it up so it's not always exactly the same variety. The entertainment is ok. I liked the live music in the bar, which was almost every night. The shows are not the most professional but usually entertaining. We went to about three or four. We used the gym which has almost everything you need except maybe heavier weights on the barbell and a few things if you're an avid gym goer as I am. You can also manage to run 5-10 K on the boulevard between the hotel and the beach. You can have all sorts of outings from the hotel. There are people selling what this part of Morocco has to offer out on the beach boulevard, in small kiosks or you can also find a clerk from a travel agency in the hotel lobby. So all in all there is no need to leave the hotel if you're there to relax, it has a comfortable feeling and you never want for anything and everywhere you go you are met with a smile.
