Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsNothing much, we booked for 2 nights but 1 night is really enough. Especially when it is really warm.
The camp is more remote than most of the hotels and camps in Merzouga. You really feel like you are the only ones in the desert and the tents are original and clean. We loved the quat tour and decided to only stay for one night, which is enough if you arrive before sunset (and with the option to do camel ride to tents)

NetherlandsThe staff was incredibly accommodating. There was a sandstorm when we were booked and they went out of their way to help us get to the property. We still had an amazing time despite the weather due to the staffs accommodating nature. The facility was very modern and clean for a campsite too, I would highly recommend this experience!

NetherlandsPleasant stay at a very unique location. Pick up and drive to the hotel was smooth. We felt very welcome. The tent is clean and quite comfy. It is a unique play to stay. The dinner and breakfast were good. We also enjoyed the music in the night and watching the sky full of stars. Kudos to the staff, they did a lot to make us having a good time

South KoreaEverything was perfect. An hour camel ride into the desert and a quick stop to watch the sunset. Once at camp you are greeted with tea. Inside the tent is like a fancy hotel room. Food was great. The staff are very friendly and put on a great music show every night. I highly recommend a trip through Sahara Desert Luxury Camp.

ChinaEverything is nice.
We highly recommendSahara Desert Luxury Camp. We think it’s a best choice if you want to stay in Sahara Desert. It is a wonderful place and we were happy to stay for two nights. The room is comfortable, the food is delicious and the view is beautiful. In the dinner of the second night, the one of our dish was noodles, which surprised us, because I wanted to eat noodles very much, the noodles with the sauce was really delicious, very similar to Chinese noodles. Also, there is a viewing position near the camp, you can sit in a chair to watch the stars, sunrise and sunset, the staff was very patient to tell us the sunrise time and the best viewing position, thank you. We also tried driving an ATV activity on the desert, a particularly interesting and fun activity. The staff was kind to take photos and videos of us, and always cared if we were in good states while driving the ATV. And on the last night, when we were wondering about the rest of our stay in Morocco, the staff were very helpful. It was a wonderful and kind place. There are many beautiful moments here that cannot be fully expressed in words. When we come to Sahara Desert next time, we will definitely come back to Sahara Desert Luxury Camp and look forward to seeing each other again. Thanks.

Good desert camp, it was what you could expect, very luxury heated tents (we didn’t expect that, it was not cold during night), nice music in the evening but not too late so our toddler slept good, child friendly, camel drive is worth it!

United StatesThere was some confusion about the difference between vegetarian versus vegan. We both could and should have been more clear about the expectations for dinner before arrival. However! our host was more than gracious and accommodating by quickly preparing a delicious and appropriate alternative to the initial offering.
First and foremost we would highly recommend this property to future visitors. It met all of our expectations. Since we were delayed on the road and arrived later than initially expected we missed the camel ride. However, our host made sure we were privately taken to the dunes by 4x4 in order to see the sunset. Much faster and bumpier and possibly much more fun! The staff was friendly and handled any request quickly. The tents were clean, comfortable and spacious. Surprisingly the shower pressure/hot water was fantastic. Just as good or better than any hotel room. The drums and music under the starry sky was a wonderful way to end the evening. Check out and the transfer back to town (where we parked our rental car) also went smoothly. Our possibly only Sahara experience in this lifetime will always be memorable for all the right reasons :)

BelgiumYou are picked up by a 4 by 4 jeep and are brought to a great viewpoint on the dunes. Afterwards, you are warmly welcomed by the staff at the camp with a tea and a friendly talk. The tents have great facilities, the toilet and shower are clean. After dinner you get surprised by a indigenous band around a campfire which was really entertaining and fun. You also get the chance to sandboard, but be aware that it is not that safe if you haven’t done this before and you are in a desert far from medical help, so be cautious!

NetherlandsThe staff seemed not so interested. It felt a bit like they did not know how to communicate with us. That was a bit strange because via the chat the communication was good.
The scenery is terrific. After 1,5 hour on a camel we arrived at this camp. The tent was very nice and clean with good beds and shower. We never saw such a lot of stars and the milky way. The food was decent but not the best. The communication before was very good and quick. .
