Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumLock didn’t work in tent nr. 4.
At the border of the Sahara looking into the desert. Luxury tents with all the comfort inside. Traditional costume is given at every guest to wear at the camp fire after diner. At arrival you’re given a lemon mint drink which was refreshing! The transfer with 4x4 was very enjoyable, also the camel transfer for the kids was fun (1h45min). Diner at night was delicious and more then you can eat! In the evening there is a djembe session at a camp fire where you can enjoy a free tea and you can also dance if you feel like it. Friendly staff!

SpainThe hotel where they pick you up is a bit weird but still with this our pick up person came really fast and took us to the camp. Don’t get discouraged by this! 😉
The arrival was a bit bumpy because there was a wind storm but still the staff was amazingly nice and made our stay perfect. The food is good and the facilities are great. Bathroom and shower are a plus if you think you are in the middle of the desert. Camel ride was fun

ColombiaJust a little hiccup with the hot water but it was later solved. Some of us would have liked a longer ride on the camel, but that is just a question of preference.
Wonderful camp with all the authentic feeling but very comfortable at the same time. Hassan made everything possible to make us feel welcome and to enjoy the experience. This is our fourth time visiting the Moroccan desert and we were not disappointed.

CanadaSahara Majestic Luxury Camp was amazing! Hassan and his family and friends went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I can’t say enough good things about the Sahara camp. The music, the stars, the sand and the people just make this place outstanding. Don’t forget to request Hassan to take you around and visit some of the local Berber villages and his knowledge is incredible. Our little family had one of the best experiences here ever. I highly highly recommend Hassan and his camp. Thank you!!

United KingdomNot a complain, but they could possibly look at improving the breakfast (sometimes you need to wait a bit for eggs). Also I would have preferred the rooms could be a bit cleaner.
You cannot get any closer to Sahara desert with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. And Hassan as a host was just the cherry on top. Iddir came to pick us up from the car parking and it's about 10-15 drive through the sand dunes (which itself is a really beautiful drive) to the camp. The spot to see sunrise on the dunes are just steps away from the camp, where you are served with Moroccan tea which you can enjoy while enjoying the sunrise. They also serve you with tea & nuts on the evenings before dinner and the dinners were also nice (dinner menu changed each night when we stayed for 2 nights). We really enjoyed the traditional music each night after dinner on the dunes, and on one night Hassan also took the guests a bit away from the camp to share his knowledge of the stars. Another highlight was our 4X4 Jeep tour of the desert. Hasan was a great guide, knowledgeable and was a treat to get some insight on the Berber/desert life. The tour included a surprisingly nice lunch at a local Berber family house. Hassan was also kind enough to took us to a really nice sunset spot on his jeep on request.

United KingdomWe only wish we’d stayed for two nights
We had the most magical experience here. We only wish we’d stayed for another night. Hassan welcomed us warmly and drove us to our camels where we were led by Mustafa across the desert to the camp. After getting off the camels we were greeted with a welcome tea and biscuits and shown to our tent. The tent was spacious and comfortable. Extra blankets meant we were warm despite the cold February nights and slippers and jelabahs were provided for us. We were then taken to the dunes to watch the sunset by Hassan. My partner proposed to me and Hassan made sure to take lots of romantic pictures of us which made the experience even more special. Then we watched the big full moon rise in the sky which was an equally magical experience and were then taken back for a big 4 course dinner followed by a a beautiful show around the campfire where we listened to Amazigh music and danced round the campfire. It was a really special night! Afterwards we were taken to stargaze. In the morning we were taken for a tea at sun rise which was incredible! We had a big buffet style breakfast and spent some time in the sun before being driven back to Merzouga. Everything made for a truly remarkable and once in a lifetime experience.

HungaryThe camp was at a really good location in the desert, you can go to the tents with 4x4 cars or with camels. The dinner and breakfast was delicious, we recommend to stay there for two nights. Hassan was extremly helpful, they organised us a private camel ride to the oasis with a little picnic. The spot was lovely, it was really calm and everybody were very kind. Our tent had everything we needed. At night they gave us a show near the fire, where we danced and laughed a lot. Our two days was an unforgettable experience.

It's a family owned camp. They do absolutely everything possible to keep their guests comfortable and taken care of. They pick you up from Merzouga and transport you to the Camp in the middle of Sahara Desert via camels or 4x4 (your choice). We chose camel rides and our kids just loved the experience. They greet you at the Camp with tea and sweets, then take you to the dunes to see the sunset/snowboarding. Then 4 course dinner at 8pm followed by traditional music and dancing around the fire. Then stargazing and looking at the moon on top of the dunes. It was just magical. Hassan and Idir were so welcoming. Hassan speaks so many languages and is fun to talk to. He was happy to share facts about nomad berbers and their life in general. Sooooo interesting. Don't hesitate to book your stay with Sahara Majestic Luxury Camp, it's worth every penny! The tents were clean, warm, crispy white linens and hot showers. They even had wool djilabas/leather slippers for each guest in the room! We had so much fun at the Camp and our only complaint is that we didn't stay there longer!

United KingdomChildren's Facilities: While our stay was nearly perfect, it would have been even better if there were sandy toys available for the children to play with. Wifi: Wifi signal is very weak in the tent though it is reasonable in the desert area.
Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Hassan, who demonstrated exceptional care for the guests. Hassan's linguistic abilities were impressive; he fluently communicated in English, Italian, French, etc, and even knew some Chinese phrases. With our little baby, Hassan tailored a shorter version of the tour for us, which turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Morocco. Food: The half-board option provided excellent meals. Facilities: The quality of the bed linen and quilt was exceptional, providing much-needed warmth during chilly nights. Despite packing extra clothes for warmth, we found them unnecessary thanks to the cozy bedding provided with night temperature of 10-14 oC.

RussiaBefore going to the desert I read so many reviews and chose this tent camping and I was not mistaken. Everything was just wonderful - reception, food, camel rides, songs by the fire, morning tea. Everything was provided for and everything was to a very high standard. The food was amazing! We were with a child of 5 years old and we had no inconvenience whatsoever. The tent is very comfortable and has everything you need. We were warm at night. Hassan is a wonderful host. He is very knowledgeable and very hospitable. We really regret that we were only there for one night.

SingaporeIt’s nothing to do with property per se, but it gets really cold in the tent, there are blankets etc to keep you warm when sleeping, but if you are sitting around not inside a blanket, it’s COLD (were there 31-Dec night), so pack/prepare accordingly.
The hospitality of the staff, the food served (both dinner and breakfast, buffet with good variety), overall cleanliness, camel trek, sunset/sunrise tour, it was amazing. (For anyone planning this, please remember it’s a bivouac not a hotel, set your expectations accordingly, there was running water hot/cold, and overall quality was great)

United StatesTo note - we came during Xmas, so it was cold! There is no heat in the camp rooms, so it was brutally cold at night and in the mornings - but this cannot be controlled by Hassan. They are literally not allowed by the gov't to provide heaters, hair dryers... so he does provide extra thick blankets to combat the cold.
Hassan is the most hospitable person I've ever come across. Everything that was controllable was perfect. Breakfast and dinner was superb, the organisation and maintenance of the camp was efficient. I'd come back to Hassan's camp in a heartbeat!
