Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Italythere were only two USB electrical sockets, so you can charge only two devices per time. I would like a traditional socket to use my multiple charger and charge also camera, watch and powerbank
Saharian Camp is a very nice place near the desert. The trip from the place where we left the car to the camp was so nice (by camel). You can see lot of big dunes. The tent was big, warm and clean with a very good bed and a nice bathroom. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, while the dinner was acceptable (we are vegetarian and they changed the fixed menù for us). You can have also beer or wine (not so common in Marocco). In general the place was cool and romantic. Parking was free and on the return trip we have used 4x4 car, with lovely deviation to a very big dune (lot of photos). The most relevant think was the kindness of the staff. Ahmed was great, he supported all our request, very friendly and helpful

IndonesiaThe weather. Sahara is unpredictable. Windy and dusty when we arrived, so we have to stay inside the room, and had dinner inside the dining tent.
The tent, the staffs: Hamid & his team, the food, the 4x4 ride & sahara experience, overall we had an amazing day. Thanks to Hamid, who made our stay so memorable.

ArgentinaThe pick up took place like 1 hr later than arranged, and we were told to wait at a hotel that turned out to be closed, so nothing to do but sit in the car. Staff was very helpful but as for experience we were kind of left to our good fortune. And although it was summer time, the tent was so incredibly hot that it was very hard to sleep, and no assistance was given other than "this is the Sahara", which we understand, but a fan would have been higly appreciated.
The camp was super nice, and overall experience was worth doing. Food was really good, and the room was very very comfortable.

RomaniaThe shower tub was dirty. We were just 4 tents occupied in the camp so we didn't have any live music. We could hear it from the camps on the other side of ours. Either way our purpose was to see and experience a night in the desert. The live music would've been nice, but not a must. You could see and sense that you are in the camp off season. I'm sure the experience is better when you're in season and much more advertisement to the activities that you could do around.
I loved everything about the location. The food was amazing and the staff were really nice. The tent was big, clean & with a nice view of Erg Chebbi.

NetherlandsThis was completely on the edge of the dessert, so it was more of a dessert view rather than a stay in the dessert.
Amazing breakfast and dinner and awesome people! The communication was pretty decent beforehand about where to meet up. They set up some nice entertainment during the evening, much as you can expect from other similar places.

If you want the real desert experience I totally recommend it! We stayed 2 nights and they were great. Staff is very very kind, food was great, we went on a Camel ride and on a whole day tour with our amazing guide Ibrahim. And Hamid from the camp was super helpful organizing everything for us.

BelgiumNo negative comments about the accommodation. But during the day there were many (small) flies that were fairly aggressive. At night it is also very cold. We slept in our fleece sweaters, but there were also extra blankets ready.
We stayed in this camp in November. It was then very pleasant and warm weather. We were picked up at a hotel near the camp. The (sandy) road to it (with our own rental car) was a bit exciting... We were picked up at the hotel with a jeep and taken to the camp. On the way we were allowed to drive the jeep ourselves: very funny! The welcome at the camp was also warm. At sunset we did a camel tour. Highly recommended! The camp and the tent itself was phenomenal and especially very comfortable. Nice diner. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. Sand boarding is free.

United StatesThe beds were too hard for western standards - not a deal breaker, but if there is anything at all to improve- this would be it. Everything else was very good! The camp arranged a satisfying dromedary ride for us to see the incredible sunset in the dunes. The food was very good and the staff was most warm!
The staff was very attentive and service was fantastic.

MalaysiaThere are other venues 100m either side that straddle the camp (but views of dunes are unimpeded). They will ask for 20euro pp for 4WD transport to/from Merzouga.
Beautiful views of Erg Chebbi from the camp, service staff were fantastic, dinner meals were varied and delicious, and the facilities were all in great shape.

NetherlandsWe were missing a genuin experience of the desert. If we would return to the desert we would prefer to do a multi day hike, to really appreciate the desert. We fell like we were on a artificial island surrounded by MANY other tourists. There was quite a lot of light pollution, not allowing us to enjoy the open sky at night. Why go to the desert if you can't really have a taste of it?
Very comfortable stay, nice hosts. Good organisation. If you are looking for a luxury stay and if you want to have some nice pictures of you on a camel, than this is definately the place to stay.... but.....

Cayman IslandsThe amenities are very lacking due to the location which is understandable but is also a fact that there are none so be prepared. Cold water showers, no locks on the door, no AC so sleeping is an issue, and almost no WiFi. But it does force you to leave the tent, venture into the sand and see who else is around.
Hamid is exceptional. He does almost everything well and is a tremendous asset. The location is amazing - in the desert and far away from everything. The food was also surprisingly very good with fantastic Moroccan eggs for breakfast.

I stayed here for one night with my wife. Everything was super good because of this hotel!!! The boy who took us on the camel ride was called Omar, he was very nice and told us a lot about the Sahara and took beautiful and interesting photos for us, we were very happy with him! The first thing we noticed when we arrived at the camp was: "It's so clean here!". I didn't realize that this place is much cleaner than some riads and hotels. The decoration is also very nice. What I didn't expect was the food. The dinner was very sumptuous, we both had a soup, a tajine and a vegetable grill. we were very full. It was very filling hahahaha. The breakfast was also very good, I felt like I was in a hotel. Many thanks to the man at the camp, he dropped us off at the parking lot the next day. All in all, we were very happy and the place was also very safe! I really recommend this camp! I have very fond memories of this night in the Sahara.
