Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe tents are beautiful. But Yosef was amazing! He was incredibly helpful with what to do during the day and helpful with arranging our transportation. Abraham at camp was also so helpful and really made our stay great. We also rode camels into the desert and had an awesome guide named Marabock.

Germanywe didn't have enough time to watch the sunset and take pictures during the camel ride.
We were surprised by the impeccable setup of the tent. It had everything we could possibly need, from a cozy bed to a comfortable bathroom. The Wi-Fi was a stable, and dinner was great, well cooked. The campfire experience at night was very pleasant, adding a special touch to our stay. The hospitality was top-notch, with the host always on hand to ensure our comfort. Overall, a truly wonderful experience! highly recommend experiencing the camel ride at sunset and coming back with a 4x4

AustraliaAmazing experience staying at Sirocco for a night on the dunes. From beginning to end the Sirocco team made everything so much fun. 4x4 to and from camp, wonderful company, delicious dinner and breakfast, traditional berber music around the bonfire and plenty of dancing and laughs with our fellow campers. The camp-site rooms were perfect and even blocked out the heavy wind overnight. Youssef was very responsive to all our questions. Absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend. Not to be missed experience.

RomaniaI cant name a thing we didn't like as we were enthusiastic by the way the members of the staff make you feel. We were alone in the camp and we benefited by exclusive services, starting with plenty of hot water for showers, good food and very nice entertainment.
Staying at Sirocco Luxury Camp is a complex experience, starting with the transfer from Merzouga to the camp and ending with an amazing sunrise watched from the dunes. It is not about staying in a 5* resort with silk bed sheets, having a posh breakfast in the restaurant, it is about having an entire experience offered by happy and helpful people in the middle of the dessert, with few options but very well delivered. I would't rate the bed, the tent or the food, as they are part of a whole package, but I am going to rate 10/10 the way they strive to deliver to the tourists an entire experience, including the evening Berber Show.

We stayed two nights, had dinner at the camp both nights and breakfast two days - all of which was great. GermanyThe location of the camp and our camel ride to the camp was an unforgettable experience. We have never been to the desert before and it felt like a perfect first time experience to us. The tent was spacious and comfy. They supplied many blankets to not get cold during the night. The staff welcomed us very warmly. Tipp from us and our host: please always check the location of the camps on Google maps before booking, there are some fake camps on the booking platforms.

AustraliaSet at the foot of the sand dunes, the tent was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We visited in winter and the bedding was thick so we were warm overnight. Bring jackets if visiting during winter as there is no heating. We stayed two nights (family of 4) which meant we could relax the following day. We had a wonderful camel ride to the camp, taking in a glorious sunset. We ordered dinner (extra cost) and the staff took care of our vegetarian requests. All meals were delicious, including the breakfasts. We greatly enjoyed the drumming and got some tips on how to play. Our kids enjoyed sandboarding and Ibrahim kindly showed us what to do. A special thank you to Ibrahim, Youssef and all the staff for making our stay extra special.

ItalyThe dinner and the service could be improved for what you pay. They do not even serve water and we had to ask few times. We asked for a different menu for my girlfriend that was vegetarian but the owner we chatted with didn't advise the staff. So of course there was one vegetarian meal in what they served but was not enough also because we were forced to eat separately being served before my meal. Also they didn't serve tea after the meal both at the dinner or around the fire. The show around the fire was very short compare to the other camps we were able to hear and they let us stay half of the time around a fire almost gone so we got very very cold. On the other hand they let us try the instruments and it was very funny.
The position was good close to the dunes also because for what I understood only one camp is positioned inside the desert. The room was very clean and provides hot water. Also the room was big and even if it was very cold when we were there the comfy bed warms you enough. The room welcome you with flowers in the floor giving a nice entrance the first time.

United StatesVery beautiful and clean tents/surrounding area. Many blankets on the bed as it was 30°F and we were still warm. We stayed there two days, so we got to know the staff and they were very hospitable and kind. Ibraheem was very personable and kind and ensured everyone was having a good time. They even hiked the dunes with us to show us how to sandboard. We also took the camel ride during our time and loved it. They were very flexible and accommodating of our needs especially regarding arrival and departure to and from the camp. Youssef is also very personable and communicative and gave us great tips on other activities and resturants. The dinner and breakfast were also amazing, four course dinner which was really incredible. Also very fun to hangout at the campfire and listen (and sometimes join in on) traditional Berber music.
