The views from the rooms were amazing, the staff were pleaseant, the grounds of the hotel were expansive and there was lots of options of things to do.

The staff could be better - everything was very slow, and i had to ask for some things twice. Also i didn’t like the food - it’s strange that 5star hotel couldn’t find a cook with better skills to cook national food. Chicken tajin was not possible to eat - just a very dry chicken with no anything - no water, no vegetables, no preserved lemon and olives - nothing. All small cafes of Medina cook it better. But harira soup was ok. And the worst thing was that I couldn’t sleep well because the ventilation system is located right above the bed and the sound is really terrible. So i had a bad night and decided not to come again. Though in villas it may be better i guess.

The hotel needs a refurbishment and more attention to details to be up to its 5 stars. TV in the room was very old and not working well. Same for the Bose speaker.

The staff was welcoming, very nice and helpful, especially Achraf & Meryem. The pool was amazing! We loved swimming and chilling there. We stayed in a Superior Double Room we have enjoyed the golf & ocean view, the design was nice, the room very clean but it definitely needs a refurbishment and better maintenance. Room service was good. Reception was very reactive to our calls whenever we needed something. The breakfast buffet was ok.

It isn’t up to the Sofitel chain standards from a visual perspective. Having stayed in many other Sofitels, this one in in serious need of an upgrade to the paintwork in and outside the hotel. The interiors were worn down a lot which isn’t what you experience in the Sofitel chain. That being said, the stay itself was a nice experience but just needs a facelift to meet the 5 star level it should be. We had a rental car which meant the location being remote was fine so would recommend not relying on taxis.

The room and pool area were 5 star quality, alongside the breakfast. Check in process was smooth and allowed us to check in early.

outside our room, the corridor was very shabby, broken blinds, grubby walls. inside the room was well equipped, but again needing some renovation.

Lovely lobby, great breakfast. Our ocean view room had a fabulous view. The rooms and public areas were very clean. The main pool was closed for repair but we did like the pool we used where the staff were excellent. It seemed here that’s some of the staff were particularly lovely, others though, were quite rude - especially one member of reception - and disinterested.

Staff were very accommodating, especially Mohamed who went the extra mile every morning at Breakfast, a lovely young man. The grounds are vast and well maintained, great for walks.The Hotel was only a £5 taxi ride in to the Medina, loads of fab restaurants. There was also a free return mini bus from the hotel, which ran on the hour till 6.00pm,.. It was a great experience, very cultural, safe, relaxed and friendly in the Medina.. I notice on some reviews clients write the hotel wasn’t 5*, well, for the price it was pretty damn good.! If you want a good 5* you have to pay for it.. on the whole this was a great experience, I’d recommend this hotel to a friend! The staff at the hotel were incredibly polite and helpful at all times.

the location is great. it’s a 10 minute taxi ride or €5 and it’s just right. I prefer to not be in the hustle and bustle. the facilities are a bit run down. but you the rate is cheap enough. the staff is very nice and aims to please. it’s Morocco so be prepared for a slower pace of life. the beds are very comfortable. the view is beautiful. the beach is not really accessible but you can sea the ocean which is nice.

they didn’t tell us when we booked that the hammam area was closed which is a bit naughty as we were really looking forward to it. they were doing work to the reception area so was a horrendous grinding noise when we arrived that was offensive. They ran out of towels by the time we arrived for 3pm check in…pretty basic error for a 5 star hotel.
