Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesGreat hotel, very welcoming and friendly staff. If you want to feel at home, this hotel is definitely for you. For lovers of Indian cuisine, there is a wonderful Indian restaurant from Michelin chef. And a separate charm is added by two rescued donkeys that delight guests, a large number of birds, flowers and a cactus garden.

United KingdomIt was a bit distant from the city centre but the hotel was happy to organise a ride whenever required.
An extremely delightful stay in one of the most luxurious ways. The main highlight was undoubtedly the excellent hospitality across all departments - the warm welcome, housekeeping, in-room dining, restaurants. Each and every interaction with every member of the staff was so warm and reassuring. The property is beautiful and very clean. Thank you to all of the managers we interacted with (Mamdouh, Rohan, Shobhit) and everyone who made our stay so comfortable, especially with our 3 yr old around. The support we got post a minor accident in the city was exceptional - special thank you to Mamdouh for this. The childrens room care and facility was also very good and helpful!

United KingdomThis wasn’t a surprise when we arrived, but the distance from Marrakech would be something to consider if you want to explore the city as it’s about a 20-30 minute drive. There wasn’t anything about the hotel we didn’t like.
The service was very friendly and attentive. The rooms are amazing, very luxurious and spacious. The facilities are brilliant with lovely additional touches like the rescue donkeys and the library.

United KingdomA more diversified wine list. But not a problem.
The Oberoi Marrakech is an excellent hotel. The location outside of the main 'bustle' of Marrakech served us really well as we wanted a peaceful relaxation-& just 1/2 an hour from the city & airport suited fine. The whole estate of the Oberoi has been really well thought out. Each villa has its own pool (ours was 9 meters x 3 meters x 1.2 meters deep) & a private garden with dining table, sunbeds. The villa interior itself is of a generous & voluminous size. Tall ceilings, great bedroom & bathroom + shower room opening out on the villa's garden. Very comfortable bed, great pillows, and quality bed linen. We ate at all the restaurants & the food was of a high quality throughout. We were also there for the start of Ramadan & so participated in the iftar dinners held at the hotel in the evening which offered a spectacular spread of delicious courses that one was really spoilt for choice over. The deserts were 'par excellence'- as was the 'chocolate room'. Breakfast was served on the south facing terrace of the hotel with the splendid backdrop of the Atlas mountains rising majestically over the grounds of the hotel spread out before one. Truly a great way to start the day. The main swimming pool is 33 meters in length-and just the right temperature. It never felt busy or crowded anywhere in the hotel or grounds. The extensive estate of the hotel offered a relaxed walk every morning & afternoon amongst a beautiful array of trees. The layout of the hotel itself right from the moment one arrives was seamlessly welcoming- the substantial courtyard with the huge water feature set the scene- from where one enters a majestic & beautifully proportioned reception that takes one through to the magnificent internal courtyard that opens up to the south, the gardens & the villas. The staff were unfailingly courteous, efficient, professional & polite. A memorable & hugely relaxing experience & stay.

United KingdomOnly two tiny areas for improvement, both of which are minor and take nothing from our amazing stay: 1) Spa Treatments - the massages were lovely, but at no point were we asked if we have allergies, or if we'd want any particular areas focused on. I came up in a mild rash to the oils used. 2) Pool Temperature - the temperature of the pool in our room was so cold we only managed to go in once. The weather wasn't super hot during our stay so I think it struggled to heat up. It definitely wasn't 25 as promised though, as we gauged the temperature each day with a thermometer and the highest it got to was 14.
The hotel is absolutely magical. Its design is breathtaking, taking inspiration from the Ben Youssef Madrasa and Moroccan Palaces - truly spectacular. The staff are second to none. We've stayed in a lot of hotels, but for pretty much all the staff to know everyone by name, and offer such impeccable service is rare. Particular mention to Imad who looked after us for 2 nights in Rivayat the Indian restaurant and was lovely. He gave us a great recommendation for things to do in Marrakech and was brilliant at his job. Mamdouh, the acting GM while we stayed (Ronan was on a trip), was also brilliant - checking in regularly, asking for feedback etc. The room itself is amazing, totally immaculate and so comfy. The outdoor pool area is stunning. The food is incredible. We loved experiencing Iftar at the hotel, and the Indian Restaurant served the best Indian food we've ever eaten - it was delicious. Breakfast was also very well stocked, with an array of Moroccan, Western and Indian dishes - all of which were lovely. The grounds are equally beautiful, the views up to the hotel are like something from a movie. We would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about staying, it's out of this world.

This hotel deserves 10/10 for various elements including rooms, service and decor. Small touches really made our anniversary special! We loved the private pool room, the efficiency of the room service (pizza is superb!), the friendliness of all the staff and if you want a memorable experience definitely book the 7 paintings experience! We loved this hotel and the warmth of the staff so much we returned after a day away! The hotel offers so many amenities such as a spa, Michelin star chef restaurant, tennis courts, bike rides and of course pool facilities! The breakfast selection is of the highest quality! This hotel exceeded our expectations and it truly deserves the award for Best Hotel in Middle East and Africa. We are already planning our return trip Mamdouh was sensational throughout our stay and is an asset to the Oberoi! Shobat was a delight every morning as well as Laila! Khaled would always check in with us and ensure we had a smooth stay! And a super special mention Soukaina, who gave us our original orientation of the hotel and was such a delight throughout! Helped us organise bike hire, tennis hire and our dining experience! She was truly amazing

AustriaI cannot think of anything
Since absolutely everything was perfect, our review sounds like it was generated by ChatGPT (see part two); therefore, here are a few very personal impressions to highlight the special class of the hotel (part one): Part one: we stayed with an 8-year-old child, and although the hotel isn't specifically marketed as a 'family hotel,' it was perfect for my son: the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We were given carrots for the hotel's resident donkeys, and in the playroom, there was even someone to explain all the video games. A few other very special impressions: I was allowed to play piano at the bar, or rather practice 😉, the entire hotel complex smells heavenly, like something out of One Thousand and One Nights; the management is incredibly accommodating: we arrived a day later and did not have to pay for it (despite being way out of the refund time), room service was super fast. The sample pictures do correspond perfectly to reality: the architecture and craftsmanship are breath-taking (200 artesian worked for 10 years!), the garden is calm, magnificent and tasteful; all facilities are brand new and of the highest standard; the rooms and the hotel are extremely clean; the staff is incredibly warm, friendly, exceptionally well-trained and caring and attentive handling of children, any special request is fulfilled and made possible;

United KingdomAbsolutely flawless. Whilst I believe perfection does not exist the team at the Oberoi, Marrakesh individually and collectively deliver excellence. Every aspect of the stay exceeded my expectation. We found it incredible how every member of the team are trained to such a consistently high standard to deliver superlative service in every aspect. The ‘guest is everything’ mantra. On arrival the check in formalities were speedy and efficient, we were offered hot and cold towels and served Moroccan mint tea in the lobby before being taken to our bedroom (room 203) which was a Deluxe Villa with private swimming pool. The room was spacious and comfortable. Waiting for us in our room were complimentary welcome drinks, chocolates, scones, cakes and a selection of fruit. The property was extremely clean throughout. The service was bespoke in every way and all management and staff responded with speed of response. WiFi connectivity was excellent throughout the property. The dining was first class. Dinner in the Tamimt restaurant was a la carte and the food was well presented, tasty and flavourful. The waiter who served us was knowledgeable about the menu and the service was both prompt and professional. Breakfast offered a mix of al la carte and buffet items and was well prepared with the highest quality ingredients. There were most things on offer from a selection of freshly prepared fruit to a comprehensive bakery section. When we were welcomed at breakfast and shown to our table, I was asked for my room number and on confirming this the member of staff greeted me by my surname. Wonderful. We also had room service which was delivered to the room swiftly. A cornucopia of indulgence. All staff were exceptional and went above and beyond. A special mention and thank you goes to Mamdouh Milad (Rooms Division Director) who greeted us on arrival, looked after our every need and accommodated a late check out for us.
