Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomJust little things that I’m only saying because we are used to 5* resorts - they in no way would put me off going back to Tigmiza. 1. The gym is just a small space with three pieces of equipment - totally fine but I booked the hotel needing a gym and I couldnt go as it held about 4 people and was always busy. 2. Comfier sunloungers are needed 3. Also think the bar staff should visit people around the pool to take orders more often. Again, v little things but just flagging these
Beautiful hotel, gorgeous gardens and pool area. Loved that it is Boutique so not crammed full of people. I would recommend staying in this peaceful resort over a Riad in Marrakech any day!

United KingdomIt was big enough to have all the facilities you want but small enough not to feel like a busy corporate hotel. The staff couldn't be nicer. Would definitely stay there again.

United KingdomPool bar wasn’t open at the pool with the swim up bar and there was no explanation for this. If it is on pictures, it should be a service offered. Roof top terrace also didn’t have the bar open or any music.
Breakfast was great, lots of options and an amazing omelette chef. The pools were beautiful (all be it a bit cold) but the weather was hot so we were lucky. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomThat we had to leave!
The staff get first mention. They are wonderful! Can not do enough for you and it’s genuine. We can’t thank them all enough for looking after us during our stay. 3 stunning pools, one of which is heated. Lush gardens surround the hotel. Huge rooms and comfy beds. The design and art of the hotel is beautiful. Excellent breakfast buffet. A big shout out to Assiraj and his cocktails! Best espresso martini I’ve ever had :)

United KingdomIf you are eating your evening meals at the hotel and are vegetarian- the options can get repetitive.
Beautiful property with amazing themed rooms that never felt busy due to its boutique nature. There are three pools, and our Villa was generous in size, with great service. The spa is lovely and I enjoyed two massages there with great therapists. We were very happy with the service, reception, Osamma - who guided us.

FranceI had a fantastic experience at the spa with a hammam and body massage. Rahma was incredibly kind and professional, making sure every aspect of the treatment was perfect. The hammam left my skin feeling refreshed, and the massage was thoroughly relaxing. Highly recommend this spa for anyone needing a bit of luxury and relaxation! Karima Mhenni.

United KingdomThe only suggestion (to make it perfect!) would be to have an additional alternative restaurant (or even an alternative dinner menu ) for those staying longer than 3 or 4 nights it is a little limited. Maybe even utilise the pool / garden kitchen and seating area as a change of scenery a couple of nights (with a change of menu )?
Beautiful rooms , charming design and lovely pools but most of all a FANTASTIC team of wonderful , friendly, helpful staff at the hotel. Our duplex room was great.

ColombiaWe did not have water for one of the days but this was city wide, not the hotels fault.
Everything was amazing about this hotel, the location, the desing, the staff, the concierge, the food , the music. I want to come back and stay for a longer period of time as this was a quick trip.

United KingdomNothing at all.
Tigmiza is quite simply a little slice of heaven! Not only is the property absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens and pools but it is located in a quiet secluded spot. Our villa was outstanding and it exceeded our expectations. Every one of the staff from Ossuma the General Manager down are exceptional and could not do enough for us. We will definitely be back as we have never been anywhere like it!

United KingdomWe thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Tigmiza; all of the the staff were so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and everyone took great pride in their work. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated, with lovely indoor and outdoor seating areas. The weather wasn't great, so the roof terrace was sadly not open, but we were well looked after in the English Bar and the Pool Bar. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa with our three teenagers; it was a great size for us, and we loved the outdoor seating area and the private pool. The Concierge was very helpful in booking restaurants in town and arranging transfers - it is only 15-20 minutes to town. We had originally booked a hotel in town, but I am so pleased we changed to Tigmiza as we enjoyed the calm, peaceful surroundings.

United KingdomUnfortunately there was a city wide water outage during our stay. No running water for three days. The hotel told us this was the first time this had ever happened. There seemed little emergency planning as the staff seemed at a loss what to do. The hotel clearly had no reserve water system either, but I hope they install one following this issue - global warming is creating water problems throughout Africa, and a hotel of this stature needs to be prepared for a recurrence of this problem. Dinner was disappointing and average. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
This is a stunningly beautiful hotel. The furnishings are of the highest quality and the interior design is flawless. We took a one bed villa with private pool for 3 nights. Unfortunately the pool was cloudy, but the hotel upgraded us to the royal villa which more than compensated for the inconvenience. The staff were understanding and enabled us to stay somewhere we could never have afforded! The Royal Villa is vast and beautifully appointed. The pool is ice cold and very refreshing on a hot day. We lushed in luxury!

United KingdomMinor point: Given that the place is somewhat out of the city, it would have been great to have more shuttle time options to/from the city (rather than just two per day in either direction).
The compound (with lush gardens and 3 pools) is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. Staff have been really welcoming and attentive. Great breakfast with wide variety of choices, incl. both Moroccan and European options. Really enjoyed dinners in the Moroccan restaurant as well (have not tried the other one).

United KingdomWe wish there had been more variety for dinner - some nights we just wanted a light dish e.g. a club sandwich or pizza. That being said, the restaurants were lovely and the food was good. Our private pool needed a bit of TLC, as some tiles were coming off. It really wasnt a problem though!
Our two bed villa was absolutely amazing, bigger than we expected, and very comfortable. We loved the outdoor area and pool, and being able to light the fire in the evening was an added treat. The resort itself is beautiful and we enjoyed both the spa and the cinema! The food was excellent.
