Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would be good if there were showers in the pool area. The price of the food and drinks in the outside bar and restaurant are high.
The staff, hotel grounds, room size/quality, pool and gardens were all excellent.

United KingdomWe booked one of the villas with private pool and it was absolutely stunning, easily the best room we've ever stayed in. The hotel has three public swimming pools, all very fancy, a private cinema which you can book a film in and a spa. It's around 25 mins taxi from the main market in a really lovely quiet location. If you are doing a sunset hot air balloon trip it's very close to this hotel as is quad biking, both were only ~20-30 mins drive away. Trips up to the Atlas mountains are ~1.5hrs away by car. The staff are all amazing and fluent in French/English etc. They organised taxis for us for various trips and were always very helpful. As I write this we are stranded in Marrakech, due to UK air traffic control having a software failure and all flights being cancelled. The hotel have put us up in a different room and told us to treat the hotel as a second home. I thoroughly recommend this place, it's genuinely been an awesome experience.

GermanyIt is a very beautiful hotel and the service was very attentif. Our villa was very nice with a swimming pool for refreshing. If you want to swim you have the choice of three very nice pools. We also took dinner and lunch and the food is excellent. The cooking course which is offered by the hotel gives a deep inside in the marrocan traditional food.

BahrainMost requests were not met or took time ans reminder before they were met. No sofa in 2 bedroom villa. No access to a market for snacks or necessities. And cat in the main dinning area (resturant)
Clean and quiet. Prive pool was plus. Staff friendly and polite. Good breakfast and resturants for lunch and dinner.

United Arab Emirates(-) Unlike the other villas, our garden was not maintained at all. The private pool was fine, but it's a pity we could not enjoy the garden: all the grass was dead / gone...not great for such a costly villa. (-) The food in the restaurants is average (if not below): overpriced for the quality of food being served, whether breakfast or dinner. Not worth it! Given that the location is remote, it's not a hotel where I could stay for too long given the F&B limitations. That's really a major issue. The quality and variety of the food should be really enhanced if you want people to come again. Otherwise you need to drive for 25min to find somewhere to eat. Very inconvenient! (-) Some small details make the difference if you want to aspire being a truly luxury hotel. Chasing me to the car park after check-out for 2 small bottles of water from the mini-bar taken inadvertently makes you leave with a bitter feeling. I left them 2 large bottles of water (on me!!) to replace the small ones. In luxury hotels, I am used to staff giving you free bottles of water when you're about to hit the road and that's a very nice attention. Moreover, upon checking, I have instructed them to remove the alcohol from the mini-bar. After check-out, the guy who chased me to the car park asked me for payment of beers taken from the mini-bar, while I just asked for those to be removed at check-in!!
(+) Great facilities: very nice design and interior decoration. Pleasant and very relaxing! (+) Very friendly staff - always trying to help. (+) Remote location but great if you don't like going with the tide and don't enjoy crowded places.

United KingdomA limited menu in the restaurant for vegans. They could make use of the cozy English bar more by offering snacks / nibbles throughout the day.
Lovely place to stay. The resort, gardens & pools are beautiful & immaculate. All the staff & services are exceptional. Very stylish in an old moroccan building. Traditional mint tea was served on arrival which we thought was a nice touch. Our favourite was spending time at the rooftop bar in the evening.

IrelandOur booking was cancelled by the hotel due to problems with pre-payment which caused some stress the day before our arrival and when we called, we were instructed to create a new booking online. Thankfully, there was still availability. Our wonderful experience from arrival to departure greatly outweighs this issue we had.
Tea on arrival when our room was not yet ready. Three pool areas which are stunning and relaxing. Exceptional service from friendly staff members, especially the barman Assiraj. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Beautiful large room with air-conditioning and mini bar. We loved that there was a free shuttle to the medina but we did not avail of it as we could not leave this paradise.

United Arab EmiratesThe International menu options don't have vegetarian dishes. The layout of the room we stayed at was beautiful, all rooms are differently themed....I wish we wouldn't have stayed at the chinese themed one ....as I didn't like the decoration/colors.
The Hamam experience and the property overall. The marrocan restaurant has good vegetarian options and had live music every night and the waiters are amazing. Breakfast was really good too. The ladies at the spa are also absolute gems.
