Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had some unseasonably cold and rainy weather and the rooms were chilly - if you're there in winter and spring, bring warm pajamas to sleep in!
What an amazing location to stay. Full of history! Epic views of the mountains all round. Super friendly and helpful hosts and servers. Breakfast was very substantial and varied. Dinner was very special. Great location for exploring the northern parts of the Anti Atlas region. Such a fun experience - bags were hoisted up in a metal basket for us. Good parking within the walls of the kasbah. It was fun to explore around the kasbah "village" and look at all the ornate historical stone features.

United KingdomIt was a bit over priced and prescriptive. Charging to take any drinks into the dining room; and they don’t serve alcohol. We had no hot water and had to use another room’s bathroom while they maybe fixed it, which they did. There was no heating in the room.
Fantastic historic building, still being renovated (which didn’t interfere with our stay). The views from the terrace are fabulous. Just amazing.

The location and the historic nature of this impressive 13th century property was mind blowing! The staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating in all ways. The breakfast and dinner was fantastic quality but portions could have been bigger, especially for the dinner. If you go anywhere in Morocco, go to Kasbah Tizourgane.

SwitzerlandRestoration of an entire Kasbah is costly, and asks for investments. That explains probably that food is here a bit less cheap than in most other Moroccon places. This should not stop you from coming here!
The location and views are impressive. It's great to walk around in the labyrinth of the old Kasbah and see all the efforts put in resotration of multiple houses. Unique. Personnel very friendly.

NetherlandsThe pillows were not super comfortable. It would have been good if there would be a bit more (written) information available upon arrival about the hammam (which we did not try) and trekking or walking day tour options in the area. It would be nice if this would be written at the reception or in a folder. Furthermore, there is information about food options available in French at the reception but no price indication. Our advice would be to communicate about the price. This was not a problem for us, but maybe other people can be bothered by this. Furthermore, it would be nice to have a bit more comfortable seats or lounge available at the terrace since it is such an amazing place to relax but the chairs are bit rough to sit on. Despite these minor things to improve we would really recommend this place! We enjoyed our stay.
Amazing location and breathtaking views. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Warm shower and comfy bed. We could spend hours just looking at the mountain from the terrace with a tea. If you are looking for an unique and traditional ‘off the beaten track experience’ this place is a must! We had a very good time and felt very welcome.

United StatesThe Wifi was very limited and did not reach the rooms. If you are looking for an early start, you may want to skip breakfast as it took a very long time to deliver and is not worth the cost. Unfortunately, the Booking.com listing indicates that breakfast is included; however, breakfast is not included and guests are charged 85 dirhams per person for breakfast. This is a very high cost for breakfast especially given that breakfast was one egg, one pancake, and one msemmen bread. This was the only truly disappointing aspect of our stay.
The location was phenomenal! Wow! This kasbah was extra special for the stone exterior. Typically, the Moroccan kasbahs are very beautiful but very similar; this kasbah had a bit of a European vibe due to the uncovered stonework which made it feel unique. The guests had access to the entire kasbah, not just the guest house, and it was very special to walk around the historical property. The renovated rooms were more spacious than I had anticipated. The hotel seemed to be a very popular destination for climbers. However, we took the hour drive to the painted rocks of Tafroute which made for a fun day trip, and on our 2nd day we took a hike through the nearby "Berber zigzag" trails which offered beautiful viewpoints of the valley and the kasbah.

United KingdomIt's hard to say anything was wrong as it's such a great experience. Only small drawback was the pillows which are very firm and large, so a bit uncomfortable.
This is an exceptional place to stay. You are in a kasbah on a hill, with views for miles around. The staff are very friendly and the evening meal was tasty. Watching your luggage hauled up by a machine is a highlight.

United KingdomMaybe better over warmer season as room can get quite cold in winter. Gas heater was insufficient to warm the room up. Room is rather dark as we may have had a room with smaller windows. While food was decent, it can get a bit boring after 3 nights.
The staff was impeccable - always helpful, always smiling and always polite. Faultless. The entire place was magical due to its historical element and amazing decor. Loved the approach to the reception but please check with staff if you have mobility issues. Food was decent. Room and bathroom was fair.
