Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing. Book with confidence, you'll have such a great time!
Other reviews capture exactly how great this place is, but I'll just add three others that jump out after a few tiring weeks in Morocco: no pressure to buy anything extra and no bill shock at the end; it's owned and run by locals who really care and have actual enthusiasm for what they do; and the location in the dunes is brilliant. Probably our best stay in four months of travelling. Just do it!

BulgariaAll was perfect.
The camp is located in a more remote location, isolated from other camps. The transfer from Merzouga to the camp and back is included in the price (take note of this one as there are other camps which charge for the transfer separately). There are few tents in the camp in a fabulous setting which allows you to truly appreciate and enjoy the serenity and the beauty of the dunes and the desert. We went for a camel ride at sunset which was fun and I highly recommend. The food is cooked at the site and is delicious. The staff is very accommodating and do their best to please their guests and exceed their expectations. There's a camp fire and songs with percussions performed by the camp guys.

Remoted camp, isolated from other camps, managed buy locals. It is an authentic experience in the Sahara desert. We were with our two kids and had the most wonderful time.

United KingdomBreakfast was very nice, but I missed more savoury options. Perhaps a kettle in the dining tent would be a good idea? I'm a coffee addict and hated bothering our hosts to make coffee so frequently. I'd have been happy to bring a jar of instant and just help myself.
The camp was as isolated as I was hoping, and the staff very friendly. Meals were delicious and although we ordered a lunch on one of the days, which was not included in our package, we were not charged extra. There were no unpleasant surprises on our final bill. Our lift to our next pick up point was punctual and despite our very early start the effort was made to provide a cooked breakfast regardless.

United KingdomThe camp is far away from others and offers a magnificent view on the Erg Chebbi. The hosts are former nomad Touaregs that make a living now from tourism and will share their experience and their stories with you if you're open. They offer a very good value for the place and the nice food provided. The camels on which they offer rides are free to roam the dunes in the morning which is a much better condition than seen in other bigger camps. Overall, a more authentic experience with welcoming host for travellers willing to engage with them and go beyond the simple consumerist attitude that so much of the tourism in Merzouga proposes.

NetherlandsEverything worked out, would be nice if it's clear before booking how the pickup fit the camp is arranged.
Location is great as well as the team. We were the only guests in the camp. The (optional) camel and boarding tour was great and arranged for us on the spot.

GermanyI was picked up at the meeting point. The camp was quiet in the dunes. I also had a toilet and a shower in the tent. An evening camel tour was very nice. Even though we were only 3 guests, a fire was lit in the evening and there was drumming and singing. Excellent friendly authentic staff!

MoroccoThe meeting point (Café de Sud) is so far from Merzouga's city center, on Erfoud's road. If you don't have a car, make sure you figure out a way to get there (I paid a taxi 100MAD to get me to the café)
This is on my top 10 or maybe top 3 things I did during my travels across Morocco (I did a lot of awesome things 😉). Spending a night in the Middle of the desert is an experience everyone should do at least once. And I don't thing there is better than Tuareg Luxury Camp to do it with and here is why: - Mustapha is one the kindest and lovely human being I've met in my life. Very professional, very helpful and knows a lot about the land and the people. - Mustapha and his family are Tuaregs and they know to much about the Sahara histroy. - During my 3 weeks trip, that was the best and most I've eaten. The dinner and breakfast were the delicious and the quantity was more than enough. - The camp is so remote and far from the many other camps, So you live the real desert experience: no noises and no light polution. - For the previous reason, you will be able to experience the absolute desert silence, and the desert night sky full of stars. (I've been able to find and see almost every visible constellation in the sky) - The tents and the entire camp are well equiped and too confortable. Clean and equiped toilets and showers, confy beds, and warm blankets for the cold nights. - The rides from and to the camp are awesome and aew included in the price. And many many more things that I forgot maybe. Thank you Mustapha and the family for the hospitality. See you soon

Erg Chebbi is amazing and the tent camp is worth to spend a night. I would suggest the camel ride at sunset, stunning! The camp is a little bit far off and this makes it more authentic than others maybe.. you can see the Milky Way

SloveniaThe bed was very hard.
We spent a lovely day at this camp. The hosts pick us up at a parking lot of a hotel and took us to the desert camp which is indeed located quite far from other camps. Transportation was included in the price. Food was very tasty both for dinner and breakfast. The sunset camel ride was extra 200 mad per person but a very nice experience. The camels looked healthy. We also had a live music performance at night followed by a short walk into the dunes. Overall a great experience and good value for money.

Hosts are extremely nice and helpful! The camp looks beautiful, it’s located further from other camps which give you intimate atmosphere and allows you to focus on beautiful landscape around and silence. The view on huge red dunes is breath taking. The big tent was beyond my expectations (check photos below), including private toilet and shower. Offered food was delicious. Communication is very transparent, there are no hidden costs (check comments in other places to see how often it happens) and hosts respond on messages quickly. I highly recommend this camp especially due to honest friendliness and openess of hosts. It was a huge pleasure to talk to you and share stories! Spending a night in this camp is definitely unforgettable experience not only because of the view or amenities but also due to the special atmosphere around.

SloveniaWe had a great time at the camp. The setting is beautiful, the food was good and the camel tour was very nice. The tents are equipped with a toilet and a shower. The electrical plug is available in the dinning tent. The biggest benefit of this camp is its location. Most camps are located on the west side of the dunes, which means you are actually very close to the road and the town. This is one of the few ones that are on the east side of the dunes. This means that you are almost completely alone and surrounded just by a desert, which makes it much more beautiful.
