We did wine tasting, dinner and stayed 1 night. The place is super pleasant, clean, cozy, comfortable. The restaurant and the service left nothing to be desired. Beyond that, the wine was excellent - and were given the six bottles of wine after the tasting!!! The absolute best part of it all was our sommelier Arina. She excelled in her English skills, giving the tour and presenting the wines of Vartely. Big cadeaux.

Breakfast was a bit of a disaster, I ordered, but they didnt have some stuff for the full breakfasts. Said I could wait 45 minutes for them to go buy it, but I needed to get on the road to return my car.. but then they had already given me a shop brought little tub of yoghurt and an apple. I walked out as needed to leave but they still messaged me to charge me for the apple and a yoghurt lol - to be honest with the price of the room compared to other places, a full breakfast should be included in the cost of the room anyway let alone for that. Also hard to get too in a car when snowing, go up the hill on the main road and round, trying to go up the steep hill from the town was a no go!

Loved the location, lots to do in the area. Room was lovely and spacious, clean etc and she gave me a bottle of their wine on arrival. There wasnt much of an atmosphere, probably as I was out of season. Nice lady on reception who made check in easy and I could communicate via whatsapp with her on my arrival. Beautiful view over the town.

We chose the family room with the indoor fireplace which was definitely worth it for the extra space, amazing balcony and views. We also took advantage of booking the spa zone which was nice to have a sauna and relax in a different space to our room.

Great visit! Booked for a quick family getaway and ended up extending our stay. The property is serene! The staff were wonderful and the food at the restaurant was fantastic. The wine and cognac were exquisite and better than some very expensive/more popular wineries. We wish we bough more! We'll be back.

The compound contains a large restaurant, warehouse and production facility, wine cellar and then several different cabins. They are all in great shape and are fantastic for passing away the day. I thought the wine tour was an exceptional value (they let us keep all of the bottles we opened during the tasting) and the food was quite nice as well. It's not from town, and we walked in and had a look around one of the days.

With the restaurant being closed on Monday it is pretty difficult to enjoy the full potential of the location. We knew about this, but did really expect a minimalistic service which wasn't possible. Suggest coming over for a weekend.

Location is great and Orhei is very nice altogether. We had been here before, for the winery tour but did not stay overnight at that time. Definetly recommend the accomodation if you plan to get the tour and enjoy a glass of wine at the restaurant terrace or in the privacy of your room.

Very peaceful location. Great room with a private terrace. Wine tour with tasting available in the restaurant - highly recommended. Nice welcome gift. Even though the restaurant is closed on Monday, it was possible to order breakfast the day before.

Perfect little getaway about an hour from Chisinau. What's onsite is more production than fields (although those are around as well). Everything is well organized, so we took a tasting tour that included a tour of the factory and bottling facility, along with the cellar. We got to keep all of the wines we opened making this incredible value. I also loved the free bottle of wine when we arrived. My room – in the attic/loft style – was spacious and well kept. It's nice to walk the grounds as well.

The one down side is- you need a car to get there! But like a said- for us it was worth it.

The Château Vartely is a really beautiful Winery. We stayed there for one night and had a lovely time! The rooms are clean and nice, the bed is super comfortable and the shower is great. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a lovely and tasty dinner at the Restaurant and even had the wine tasting. We would for sure recommend you to book the wine tasting- our sommelier Olga was great in explaining all the wines! In Moldova this was for sure one of the best tasting we had. We chose the Château Vartely as a one night getaway from Chișinău and we enjoyed every bit of it! A lovely place we recommend to stay and don’t forget to book a wine tasting.

Pretty expensive… At this price you should get some spa facilities, which do not exist, breakfast not included and costs around 10 euro more, is great for one or 2 nights, no more

The hotel Rooms combines the old traditions with modern amenities, very clean rooms and great garden design… The winery tour was also nice, the food is tasty, and the wine bottle we got at check in was a plus

Restaurant - very slow service, young and inexperienced waiters. Breakfast - not impressive, especially considering the value for money. No shop around to buy some water or other stuff, except wine.

Accommodation - very good, all in all. Reception - nothing to complain. Position - on top of a hill, just fine. Wine tour - nice! Our wine guide - Viorica - wonderful. Highly professional!
