Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineSome issues with parking. There is no breakfast yet due to closed restaurant (coming soon).
Extremely exceeded my expectations. Fully new! The location is 10 min walking to the Main Street, 1 min to 24/7 cafe and Marlene cocktail bar (closed at 23:00), very close to cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets. The host was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Thank you for hospitality! 10 of 10! 5*

UkraineVery strange room layout. Huge bathroom with no doors, which is more like a corridor with a shower and toilet. Hair in the shower suggests there are issues with cleanliness. Strange smell, looks like mould. Very thin walls, can hear absolutely everything. Well and very unfriendly staff.
The location is really amazing. There are some good cafes and restaurants nearby

AustriaThe walls of the hotel are very thin and you can hear just every word that people say. My neighbor brought an accordion to his room and tried to play the instrument until midnight - many thanks for that.
The location is great and staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central and close to many places I wanted to visit. Rooms are spacious and clean. There are a number of great cafes and restaurants around.

PolandThe room was not very clean- there was a big flying insect and the bathroom was not well cleaned. In the hotel there is no breakfast and in the room no kettle: the tea and coffee are paid (offered by the hotel). In the room I heard the neighbours, when they spoke loudly. The staff at the reception is speaking English differently: some people don’t speak at all, some are speaking basic English. And they are not really helpful.
The hotel is located close to the city centre. The interior is rather modern. The bed was big and comfortable. AC was working well as well as Wi–Fi. The main entrance is closed for the night and just across the street there is a restaurant working almost 24/7. Coffee place is just right at the corner.

GermanyTwo issues to look out for: noise insulation is not the best, I could hear the loud neighbour's TV. Not much of a restaurant, but it is compensated by a nicely stocked minibar in the room.
Good, comfortable hotel. It has a great location, walking distance from all mayor attractions in the center. The room and installations looked new and the common areas and room were spotless.

RomaniaWorst hotel in Moldova, rude staff: 1. For accommodation payment is requested in cash. 2. The hotel does not have breakfast (and the price is the same as in other hotels of the same class with breakfast). 3. There is no kettle in the room. 4. No drinking water in the room, only paid (more expensive than in the store). 5. The doors don't close. And if they're closed, they won't open. Getting in and out of the room quickly is a problem, especially for older people. 6. If there is noise in the next room, you can hear everything. 7. When trying to request a solution to the problem from the staff, we were rude and told that nothing works after covid. Why other hotels work - could not explain. General conclusions: do not choose this hotel, expensive for its low class.
Close to city center, new hotel, comfortable bed.

RomaniaThe bathroom does not have any door, so if you are traveling with someone it's very very very uncomfortable and awkward (not to mention the smell, which goes everywhere in the room). We complained to the staff, but they said it's a design decision.
Location was good, staff nice, room was clean.

AustriaAttention! They make Business with War in Ukraine! We stayed at this hotel because we brought our family from Ukraine. The room rate is usually 70 euros. Now they charge 300 euros for one night. An absolute insolence! Please do not go to this deceitful hotel!
