the decoration in the common areas is old and somehow it seems not taken care of. Also there is no elevator to take the luggage up to the 3rd-4th floor. The breakfast is standard.

I booked the superior room. Supposedly a superior room shouid have better features than a standard room. There was a horrible noise because as you can see from the photo attached at this review, two enormous aspirators from the restaurant in the same building were glued to the window and they start running at 11 AM ending at 11 PM, 12 hours of headache. No view from the windows, just a wall distant a couple of meters. Those infernal machines make the walls tremble, I'm not using an euphemism. They literally seem to tear the wall down. For 12 hours straight. This kinda superior room was next to the reception and close to the breakfast room. Hence, you can imagine the consequenting noise. In the ceiling there was a window without a curtain and it means the light enters your room with the sunrise in the very early morning. Bothersome, to say at least. You can't have privacy since in the same building there are other commercial activities (the abovementioned restaurant plus a lingeries shop and a sort of beauty center/hairdresser) and you have to walk in front of other people when you wanna go into your room. you should be aware of that. At the arrival, during the check in with upfront payment mandatory, they made me sign a letter where I pledged not to make noise otherwise they could take my money kicking me out of their hotel: but this shouldn't be mutual? Because they made a hell of a noise for 12 hours/day.

The hotel does not live up to the score obtained, the rooms are dark, there is a threshold and the level difference in the middle of the room, you can get in trouble, especially at night, and the service at the reception is far from excellent. Poor breakfast also. There is no elevator and the price is not really low

Leaking shower - no big deal for me, but could be causing trouble in the long run for the building.

I requested a large and quiet room with openable windows, as this was an issue during my previous stay here. Got everything I asked for!

On the 4th floor wi-fi was not working, but on lower levels it was OK. Consider this if it's important for you. Overpriced as the all other places in Chisinau at the moment.

WiFi didn't work

The location was great, room sparkilng clean and spacious, quiet, however, the WiFi was so bad - it was on and off every 3 minutes, impossible to work / have calls. Usually you don't have data in Moldova if you travel from the EU, so having a reliable WiFi would be good. WiFi at the neraby cafes was superb.

Beds are very uncomfortable, extremely firm but also thin mattresses, room lack ventilation, ours had skylights, but no actual windows.

Very noisy - in the evening noise from outside's courtyard (which I assume it was someone else's) and in the morning lots of noise from the corridors. Also probs not a good idea to clean the rooms at 8:30am knowing that people are trying to have a rest. If that was a soundproofed room then I'm the Duchess of Cambridge. The toilet was leaking and we didn't complain as we were out all day and obv is not alright to step with the slippers in the constant puddles.
