the first room we got seemed a bit small and the room balcony seemed a bit too close to the balconies of the next building, so you don't get much privacy in that spot. There was, however, a separate balcony (not joined to the room), for the sole use of this room's occupants, which helped.

Villa Jovana is located pretty close to Budva Old Town, a decently-sized grocery store and within a 10-minute walk from some nice beaches (mostly crowded during the time of our stay, but this is to be expected at the height of the season). The hostess is a kind and friendly woman, who instantly makes you feel at home! I found the online support service (via a messenger) very helpful and anything we needed was catered for promptly! I would gladly come here again) Thank you!

The house is on the hill, so you have to climb a lot of stairs... So I recommend it only for very sporty people.

Very comfortable guesthouse with home atmosphere. Staff is very welcoming. View from the room is amazing. We reserved paid parking (7 eur per day) beforehand, but they didn't take the money from us and warned us that since they don't fully own the parking and summer is high period, there might be issues with free spots in the evening after 7pm. No issues with free spots, but that was very fair. Could have just took the money and don't bother. Strongly recommended.

You have to climb stairs for the room. So if you have a problem with your leg or have so many luggages it’s a problem. Owners warn you to be quite all the time. They don’t change sheets or towels. No credit card.

Cozy, clean, pretty, a very short walk to the beach. The hostess is so kind she even fed me home-backed pie. AC, wifi, fridge work. The balcony, with beautiful plants, is facing the sea. There's a stove where one can make coffee. No noise. Excellent for holidaying.

The room was too small, and I definitely wouldn't recommend booking the cheapest apartments here. Also there is an issue with water I think, the cold one is fine but the hot one has sour taste. Seems that something is wrong with water supply. Also, there was no view and no sun in apartments. And dirty sticky hair dryer

The landlady was extremely hospitable. She even cooked pies and always offered it to me. Also, I needed a table for work, and she brought it in a few minutes after I asked for it. I really appreciated her hospitality

Based on the very positive recommendations, we decided to stay in Villa Jovana for three nights. Unfortunately, our experience was rather disappointing. The owner of the guesthouse does not speak English. The entire communication was done via her little daughter, which was especially difficult when it came to adressing problems. The room itself appeared to be clean on the first sight but after the first night, we were surprised by an intense smell coming from the bathroom drain. Asking the host for additional cleaning, she just spilled some kind of cleanser into the drain, which did not remove the smell at all. Further, the floor under the bed has not been cleaned for a while. The most shocking event occured when we returned to the guesthouse in the evening after a long day on the beach: the door to the balcony was open and the blinds were not entirely closed (approximately 2/3 closed). When we left in the morning, the door and the blinds were closed - obviously, the staff forgot to close them. In my opinion, this is a severe security issue as it is very simple to reach our balcony from the neighbouring apartments. Another negative aspect to be mentioned it the fact that the taxes have to be paid by the travelers in the local office. Usually, this is not a big deal, but because of the very limited opening times of the tourist office (9-17, payment not possible on sundays) we had to change our plans in order to be able to pay the taxes. As it is common that those taxes are paid by the hosts in Montenegro, this would be a desirable service.

The view from the balcony and the great location close to the city center and harbour are worth mentioning. Also, we were allowed to use the very convenient parking spot close to the apartment.
