How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The communication with staff not great due to language barrier.
Nice and cosy apartment, ideal for solo travel or couple. Very comfortable and clean.

I liked everything.
This place is awesome! Clean, tidy, spacious. Close to slovenska plaza beaches and old town. We also walked to Becici beach not that far. Lots of restaurants around to have a quick bites. I recommend this place to everyone hands down. Also, I would like to thank the reception. They are very respectful and kind.

New building and the room was amazing ! Location is good. 10 min walk from the beach and lot of bakerys and restaraunts near by.

It would be great if the pillows were more comfortable and if a washing machine was present.
Good location, friendly staff, clean room with stylish design. Everything you need is present in the room. It was nice that towels were changed every day.

The staff of the hotel was extremely helpful and kind, our room and the whole interior was very nice. They also arranged a driver for us from the airport.

lady at front desk had an attitude everytime we asked her something but the other staf were super friendly. Parking was said to be gated but its just open and very narrow.
Nice spacious room/studio with balcony/terras. 15 min walk to the beach and 25 min to the old town.

Everything was great! The only thing to take into account when booking this place is that there is no cooker. The kitchen consists of a fridge, a sink, a microwave and a kettle. Plates, cups and utensils are also there. The room is very convenient and has all one might need.
Friendly staff, good location, cleanliness, communication. All at high level!

The hotel is located in a quiet place, without the noise of passers-by or cars. Very clean. Everything you need is in the room. Very pleased with the presence of an iron and ironing board. Everything in the room is new. Excellent and friendly staff.

Actually all fine. The balcony was quite small, but really it was adequate.
Great location, not too noisy, but conveniently central. Exactly as advertised. Nice new facilities and spotlessly clean with fresh fluffy towels each day. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend

Firstly, the people at the reception are very kind and helpful. Then, the room is amazing. It is very comfortable and cozy. Great for the couples. Little balcony is so cozy to witness romantic conversations. Besides, the location is close to the central bus station and beach. 7-8 mins walk to the old town and beaches. At the end, the staff allowed us to keep our baggage at the reception after the check-out. So, we had chance to buy some magnets and souvenirs before catching the bus to Podgorica.

Everything was ok. But just as suggestion- some coffee would be a nice touch. Payment in cash only - but we were notified in advance so this was ok.
Very nice apartment. Clean, modern, friendly staff. Good internet connection. We were able to leave luggage after check-out. Very comfortable bed. Not very close to the sea or old town but walking distance to both. 10 min to Slovenska plaža. Close to bus stop. 24hours reception. Good think to leave key card at the reception- one thing less to worry about. No bars or clubs nearby so not loud. Will stay there next time.

noise - you will hear everything from the hall, very thin towels, no washing gel, no shampoo (only soap on sink) very strange rule - you have to leave key card to your room at the reception desk each time when you leave

The apartment is wonderful for its price. We stayed there for 3 nights, but we could have stayed more. Clean, close to the beach, quiet... a perfect place to relax. The staff are kind and helpful, and the room is huge.

it would be good to have a small electric stove in the kitchen zone. other than this everything is really good.

The room is really nice, it is in the city center and very close to the beach. We had an amazing stay in Budva and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I could not recommend it more!

No stove available in the kitchenette. Might be hard to find the location
Room was very clean Good and new facilities Close to the beach (2 km) The parking was full when we arrived, however the staff was kind enough to give us one of their own parking spot. Good Wi-Fi Little balcony with a nice view
