How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I recommend it, it was a quiet and clean place. if I will come again to Budva for vacation, it is our first choice that we will make for the apartments.

Almost everything was fine.
Very spectacular veiw from the appartments - to the mountains and the ancient monastery! Very calm and nice place under the mountains. The room was clean and comfortable, with excellent bed, conditioner, WiFi, small kitchen and shower. There are big supermarket in 15 minutes walk, a tourist organization (there you can pay city tax), cafees and shops. The walk to the old city of Budva will take about 30 minutes. The bus station is in 15 minutes walk. Mogren beach is in 35 minutes by foot, and it is a nice walk with views and a lot of bakeries and cafees around. The big city farmer market is in 25 minutes walk, and also there is a small farmer market in 10 minutes walk from the appartment. So, it is a good location and also a peasfull place. The host is very helpfull! Hvala!

Contacted prior to arrival and sorted out time to meet at apartment. Comfortable bed. Small hotplate, fridge and electric kettle available. 20min walk to bus station.

The room was small, not for a longer stay. We were only one night, so it didn't matter.

Everything is fine, no comments.
The room was clean and spacious. Very comfortable and comfortable bed, clean bedding. There is everything you need to cook in the room. My friend and I like to walk a lot, so we chose an apartment not in the center. In the evening you can enjoy a walk. It takes 20 minutes to get to the center. There are shops with everything you need nearby. There are mountains around and it's quiet. We will definitely come back here again☺️.

The host is incredible. The location is perfect with a beautiful mountain view. You have everything you need even for long stays. Supermarkets are close by.

Host is super nice, He pick me from the bus station without any extra cost, and His mother arrange ticket for me, They tried their best to make me feel comfortable, i really appreciate their efforts. Location of apartment is super, it is walking distance to the centre and to the beach. I strongly recommend

The apartments are very small. We thought from the description and photo that they are bigger than real. It was no good place to put our suitcase in the room. The apartment was not very convinient generally and not comfortable for me. There was only one chair for 2 guests in the room. The apartments are situated in the remote region that I think it is better to stay in this apartment travelling by car.
The hosts are nice and friendly people, ready to help. The host has very kindly allowed us to leave our baggage indoors in the house after we checked out. The house has the big parking area.

It’s inconvenient that you can’t pay with a card, only cash. But it’s not a hotel, it’s their house, so I understand. The pictures from the listing are misleading because it looks like every room has a private balcony, but our room didn’t have one. It was a very small room and the one balcony was for the entire floor, it wasn’t private and wasn’t included in our room. Unfortunately, there were small bugs in our room, they were around the fridge and the window side of the bed and under the pillow. The place is not very new and too clean and in my opinion it’s more like an Airbnb. If you book your stay here, only do it if you have a car, as the place is pretty far from the beach and the center. If you travel by car, be aware of the drivers, it’s very chaotic and they are very intolerant. I would also like to mention that the other guests were very loud, they would run, laugh and talk very loudly in the hallway in the middle of the night, this happened almost every night and was very unpleasant.
The hosts were nice, there is free parking on the property and the AC was working.
