How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Would have been nice to have things such as a wood/plastic cooking spoon, spatula for flipping omelette, a proper cutting knife and cutting board, and some bowls... I made do with what I had, and simplified my cooking, but these items would make it much easier and nicer for longer stays. Privacy curtains in the bathroom and bedroom really would be nice. The bathroom has no curtain, and the bedroom only a lace curtain....so everyone can see you from outside, especially with the lights on at night or in the bathroom any time of day. There was construction/renovation? noise too early in the morning.
The location is in a (mostly)quiet small town about 30 minutes walk from Zabljak, with convenient access to some local restaurants. Easy to get to Durmitor national park. The host didn't have English, but was responsive via messages, and made it easy to extend my stay by 5 more days. The kitchenette was basic but usable, despite not having some items, and also had coffee/tea, oil and salt/pepper for cooking which was nice. Had a small fridge, and cooking stove top...though the roof slopes down making it a bit difficult for tall people. The bathroom was new and clean, and the whole apartment was clean and comfortable. There is a heater in the room if you need.

Exactly what we were looking for. Exceptional clean and cozy. Mini kitchen available to prepare warm breakfast or brunch. Nice room with view, clean facility and private parking on front. Very well communication with the host. And location is perfect. It's a nice 20min walk to the center of Zabljak or 3-5 min car. Near by few restaurant and mini market. Will do again Olja house for sure. And Zabljak by its self deserve a week of vacation or more with all things to do around.

11/10 Spotless clean, beautiful and modern interior, lovely host, around the corner from a great restaurant, perfect location (not noisy or crowded, parking space right next to the house).. We will surely come again

It was slightly out of town, 3 min drive so not far at all. Would still highly recommend!
we had a great stay at Olja’s Guest house. We stayed in a Private room with shared bathroom but the bathroom was private. Amazing price for a great stay. Restaurants just 30m away. everything was clean and tidy.

- The host does not speak any work in english but at the end we understood each other.
- The apartment is super good, the size of the rooms is great too. - Easy to find and you have space to park the car. - By car you have the entrance of Durmitor at 10 minutes.

We stayed in 2 double rooms (single occupancy) with one shared bathroom. This part of the property, situated at a mansard, had 3 separate rooms with two shared bathrooms, and common space for kitchen. Everything was very clean, newly upgraded bathrooms. The host was nice and pro-active and we had a good communication. There are about 4 restaurants within 200 m from the property, and also a small market. I would definitely recommend the place.

sadly the kitchenette doesn't have any cooking utensils and pots and pans, so if you're planning to cook your own meals this wouldn't be the right place
really cozy and clean, wooden interior in a quiet area close to restaurants and the center of Žabljak. we really enjoyed our stay and everything was made easy for us. Strong internet!!

It is a good choice for 1 night, or even more, in the center of Zabljak, hosts are very kind, they provide you blankets and even heating if you feel cold. We arrived from the beach and the 15 degrees difference was shoking for us. They gave us an electric heater and very warm blankets, even if it was summer time it was comfortable.
