This is a wonderful apartment in a beautiful location. It is run by a lovely family and is very clean and comfortable. The area is quiet and peaceful. Also the wifi is excellent. This was my favorite place that I stayed during my time in Montenegro.

To get to the accommodation and doing tours in the area, you definitely need a car. We did multiple tours in the Durmitor Nationalpark, closer to Zalbjak & Bobatuv Kuk and it took us around 35-50 minutes to drive one way.

The accommodation is located remotely surrounded by beautiful mountains. We were looking for a quite and charming place and definitely found it with Vila Montana. The accommodation offers basic kitchen supplies which were sufficient for us. You will find coffee, tea and basics such as salt, pepper, oil & vinegar. We’ve spend evenings on the beautiful terrace and rested well after hikes in our comfy bed.

As others have noted, the cabin units have no soundproofing. We were lucky that our neighbors were pretty quiet, except for what sounded like about a minute of clog dancing. Our preference would be to have good reading lights on both sides of the bed.

The location is great for the views and walking opportunities. Wonderful hosts. The cabin units are a good size and well enough equipped.

Vila Montana is in an absolutely stunning location, perfect for hiking and lake swimming although you need a car. The apartment is very cosy and clean, with wonderful views and everything you could need. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful.

The location, in the middle of a rural area, was perfect: calm and nice. It really allowed oneself to disconnect from urban life. Moreover, it was rather close to the Durmitor National Park, which was great. Moreover, there was a small, beautiful monastery 5 minutes away walking, and a little bit further (15 mins, approx.), access to a crystal waters river. The hosts were really nice and, even though we arrived like 2 hours before check-in, they received us with beers and juice.

The apartment is super well located close to the Tara river. There are some walks around easily reachable. The apartment is huge, very well furnished, very comfortable. We had an amazing time despite a rainy weather. We were warmly welcomed. A great gem in the Tara canyon !

One of the best accommodations in Montenegro, if you want to be in the middle of nature and appreciate peace and quiet! We had a warm welcome from Bojan and the cottage is just perfect - breathtaking mountain views, terrace, kitchen equipped with everything. It was extremely clean andcomfortable and even the warm shower was excellent after a long hiking day. Bonus is the small Dobrilovina monastery visit, just 400m away. Highly recommend and we hope to be back!

We had a perfect stay in the nature of the beautiful Tara canyon in a new and lovely wooden cottage. The hosts are very friendly and absolutely helpful. Everything worked out absolutely well. Best value for the price.

Nothing to dislike, just come prepared. The next supermarket is 1h away by car. (~50 minutes). Pack groceries before you come.

Beautiful, really peaceful accommodation. We really enjoyed our stay in Avila Montana and can recommend the stay for anyone who wants a laidback stay in Durmitor National park. The Appartment is perfectly equipped with a kitchen with everything you need. The bathroom is really nice with hot water. The Wi-Fi is super strong, we could even watch Netflix. Really Cody appartment. Super nice Hosts as well. Price-value relation is unbeatable. You can go rafting in 10 minutes away and zip lining in 20 minutes. Landscape is just beautiful.

During our trip from Belgrade to Kotor, we spent one night at this wonderful location nestled in the valley, offering breathtaking views. The top-floor apartment was clean, equipped with basic cooking facilities. Bringing our own food and drinks turned out to be a good decision, as there were limited options around. The host was very helpful, providing information about various hikes in the area, and we were thrilled with the hike leading to the river in the valley. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

The proximity of the grocery shop (20kms), the fact that it was "dangerous" with the open windows due to lack of mosquito net (this is an aspect that will be fixed soon as we understand)

The fresh air of a remote location, close to Tara bridge (20 km), the peace of place, the food cooked by the locals, the fact that the room was cold after a hot day, great apartment, great view and many things to do in nature in proximity. Perfect for relaxing!

Beautiful location in the heart of the canyon. Can walk down to the river and monastery easily. Given some delicious plums and a drink on arrival. Great value!

Which looks great at first (remote location) can also be a problem when you would like to have dinner as the only restaurant was closed when we were there.

Secluded little cottage surrounded with mountains, which look really great from the windows. Apartment is brand new, we are 2 bikers and got a big living room, bathroom and a bedroom upstairs.
