How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Excellent location. Very helpful staff. Washing machine facilities available which was really handy.. Great spacious apartment within 5 minutes walk to the old town, beach, and restaurants.

The Apia residence is amazing, it exceeded my expectations. The hosts were very gracious and kind The accommodation itself is modern, clean, perfectly located close to old town Budva. If you are looking for accommodation please book it without a second thought !

Just a heads up….the parking is extremely tight! You need to drive down a corridor that is only slightly wider than a car. It is also a little tricky to find.
Penthouse was spacious. Location was excellent / just a few minutes walk to the Old Town and beach. Very clean. Friendly staff.

The location of the residence is perfect. The parking is rather tight, but given the location - excellent. The staff is very friendly. We loved every moment of our short stay.

Everything was perfect! The apartment was very clean and it’s just a short walk to old town. The bed was very comfortable and the interior of the apartment looked very modern and new. Kitchen was very well equipped. A big plus was the super friendly and helpful apartment manager - we’ve had a great stay and can definitely recommend this place!

No washing machine inside apartment, you can wash downstairs for 2 euros. No capsules are provided for dishwasher. Kitchen furniture is quite used and not very clean
Location is very close to the beach. Staff is very helpful and easy to reach. The apartment is very spacious, has two bathrooms.

There was an ugly picture on the wall that scared our daughters. We quickly took it down for the night;-)

Super location, 5 mins from old town. Modern apartment with 2 bedrooms and a terrace. Don't be expecting a view from the terrace as it's over a car park but it's still a nice space to have and this apartment is all about the location which is 2 mins away from a supermarket and taxi rank. The staff are superb, very friendly and helpful, pointing out areas of interest and even printing off my bus ticket for my next journey, thanks again!

Some of the cultery had been left in the dishwasher and wasn't that clean. Apart from that nothing else.
Apartment was superbly situated and well equipped, with a nice little courtyard. The bed was very comfortable and the reception was excellent. Aircon worked well and the shower was hot. Parking available and felt like a very safe area.

We stayed in two bedroom apartment. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, beautiful terrace and plenty of space throughout. Property is located next to the Old town of Budva. We couldn’t wished for the better location. Last but not least two amazing young ladies Bojana and Branka always greeted us with the smile, answered all of our questions and kept our apartment spotless at all times.

Beautiful spacious and clean apartment just few minutes from the beach or old town center. 2 separated bedrooms, big living room with the kitchen an balcony, possibility to park. Also very kind personnel. Really recommend to stay here.
