Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location near Orient Beach & Grand Case was wonderful. Local shopping nearby. Morning breakfast was exceptional. The room and balcony had view of wetland with lots of birds, and the sea.

A truly great hotel in a beautiful setting. Florian and his team made us feel so welcome and were very helpful with any requests. The restaurant downstairs was one of the best meals we had in St Martin. The room was very clean and spacious. We’ll definitely be back.

Great boutique hotel, minutes from grand case. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, particularly the manager (?) Restaurant superb, worth the prices. Included breakfast was fantastic. Place was spotless.

Saint MartinThe restaurant was definitely the worst part of our experience. You couldn't read the menu for dinner because the lightning was bad. The service was poor! It took us two hours to get dinner and it was on my spouse's birthday. Our daughter literally fell asleep from waiting so we just left. Honestly, it was a mess to say the least! However, the property itself is nice and cozy. It's old but with modern finishes and very romantic. My cons are that the rooms are too close to each other. When I stay at a villa I like to feel like the only one there. You won't get that here. You hear EVERYTHING and everyone there is so nosy. I don't think that the price is worth the stay but it's a very scenic and nice property overall.

United StatesService and reception was very cold. Housekeeping missed several minor details that added up (e.g. didn't take out trash or switch out towels). On their own not a big deal but collectively took away from the experience and didnt justify the price of the room.
