How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment has perfect location. We could park our car in front of the building and didn't need to move as we could walk to everywhere. The owner is very kind and helped us a lot. We highly recommend this apartment.

Trying to find the residential car park was a bit tricky for us at night, otherwise I have nothing to complain about. Our stay was faultless!
A lovely listing in the centre of Macedonia’s capital. The host was easy to communicate with and was very helpful. The apartment was in pristine condition and the beds were very comfortable.

There was a little cigarette smell, but it wasn't a big deal, we opened the balcony windows and ventilated.
A lady welcomed us and she was very polite. He explained us all the details and made us very comfortable. We thank him very much. We will not hesitate to choose to come and stay again. Thank you.

Clean, spacious, all amenities including washing machine, dishwasher, televisions in lounge and master bedroom and computer access. WiFi was very speedy and TV allowed the downloading of apps so was able to watch our own content. The bed in the master bedroom was a super king size and all linen and towels were fresh and clean and there was a good re-supply. I could not fault this apartment in any way. The owner met us and gave us the keys and the tour on a very late almost midnight check in.
Fantastic location straight out on to main square and bridges across the river to the Old Town.

Nothing. Everything was fine.
The apartment is in the very city center. The host met us at the triumphal arc ,because the car is parked in the backyard of the building and you have to enter the pedestrian area and a barrier. Everything is in walking distance. The apartment is large and comfortable for a family of 5. Behind the kitchen is a "chill corner", a good place to read or listen to music... The kitchen is unusual good equipped. It is a very good place to stay some days in Skopje.

The location was absolutely awesome few steps to the center of attractions. Highly recommended for couples who wish to explore Skopje. Mr Marjan is really helpful hoist who accepted our early check-in without any charge. He was reachable over phone for any requirements. Good luck

Wifi dropped in and out, AC in the bedroom had a slight smell to it.
Great location, great amount of space. AC in both bedroom and living room. The host waited to meet us to let us in when we arrived at 3am. He even gave us some of his food. Amazing hospitality. Able to wash and dry our others.

No prepayment, we're used to paying in advance and accidentally left without paying. Now we're struggling to figure out how to pay.
What a fabulous place in a perfect location to explore Skopje. The place is huge and comfortable. Ac works great and has a very functional kitchen. Host is a delightful! Superior wifi. VSuper value!

Everything was perfect. Location is in city centre with view on the main square. Secured parking on the back side of the building. Apartmant is spacious and modern. The owner is so kind and helpful.

The apartment is located at the most central location possible in Skopje, right between Macedonia Gate and Macedonia Square. Perfect place to explore the city centre on foot. The apartment is very well planned and has all possible facilities you need for a stay. The host was so kind to meet us and show us everything even though we reached at 1am in the night. Having visited over 40 countries and living in such apartments across Europe, I can say this is one of the beat in terms of location, facilities and hosting.
