Our stay at the cottage was nothing short of enchanting. The cozy ambiance and breathtaking views made every moment memorable. However, what truly set this experience apart was the warmth and hospitality of the owners. From helpful tips on local trails to homemade treats awaiting us, their care and attention to detail elevated our stay to something truly exceptional. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for such a wonderful retreat.

Everything was great, the views were amazing and the hosts were very welcoming. The road leading to the apartment was winding but quite easy to drive. The apartment had everything we needed and a mountain atmosphere. We loved it!

The bed in the main bedroom - the mattress was uncomfortable (we could feel the springs) and the frame squeaked every time one of us moved. Fortunately we were able to move into the other bedroom where the double bed was really comfortable..

The location is stunning and our top floor apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. The food we were served for dinner on our first night was delicious.

Everything about the accomodation is excellent. The panoramic view from the balcony is breathtaking and something special. The communication with Goran (the owner) was perfect. He helped us in any case. I highly recommend this cottage. Thank you Goran!

If we have to say something: Goran, you should place a few more signs on the red (very beautiful) walking track;)

We felt very welcomed and comfortable from the start of our stay. Both hosts created the perfect balance between privacy and personal contact during our stay. Additionally, the location is magnificent: the silence (we slept like a baby), nature and of course the view on the mountains.

We had a wonderful time in Modrich. Goran (the host) could not do enough for us. We spent time walking in the local area and completely zoning out from reality in our little mountain bubble. Goran cooked us beautiful fresh meals (you have to request meals) showing us different Macedonian foods and at a time of our choosing. He also had a lovely collection of wine (don't drink too much). At the end of the day we loved our stay in a traditional Macedonian mountain house, but be warned if you don't want to be remote, don't go. Wonderful, thank you Goran.

Cottage Kolekjeski is in a beautiful location. The nature all around is amazing and the views are beautiful. The cottage is also beautiful and comfortable and has all of the required facilities. I would definitely recommend it to other people and go again.

Such a magical place that I was selfishly tempted not to share the secret. Ridiculously beautiful location in the mountains. Great sitting room with a log fire and stunning views. Very friendly host and general atmosphere.

The views and surroundings are magnificent. The house is situated in a remote village in the mountains where you find nothing but peace, quiet and nature, yet, Struga and Ohrid are only an hour away. The room is charming. Kitchen and bathroom are basic, but comfortable. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. They provide breakfast or dinner on request. It was all delicious. We had a wonderful time. It was truly a unique experience.

The accommodation is amazing! The residence is situated in an old mountain cottage and has an unique setting with amazing surroundings. The place is clean and has everything a person needs. The host made us feel very welcome and helped with everything that you could wish for during a stay.

This was an experience and not just a random accommodation. Waking up in the morning and having the view of the mountains is superb. The breakfast and the dinner were superb. Petar and his wife are very friendly. They did everything to accommodate us. He even took us for a walk to see the springs nearby. Highly recommended if you want to experience the cottage life.

I know this is completely on me but keep watching your head when entering the cottage and moving around inside.

Lovely renovated mountain cottage in the village Modric. It's a nice, clean and quiet place with several terraces outside to relax. On the way up to Modric you pass two fish farms where you can buy trout (caught before your eyes) to roast on the grill next to the cottage. There's marked hiking trails that start few yards from the cottage. Our host Goran made the stay even better. He was super attentive and helpful, always available but never obtrusive. He's smart and funny, showed us around, told stories and answered our questions about the surroundings and history. If you're lucky he'll take you to the cherry tree and help look for the wild thyme.

Theres nothing I didn’t like. And if there had been I’d have mentioned it - and I am sure the host would have put it right

I liked everything about the property - a beautiful old house in a village with history, brought back to life with everything you need for a short or long stay. It has the most beautiful views across the mountains; the location is spectacular and there’s some lovely walks from the house. And the host, Goran, is thoughtful, kind and great company, though never intrusive. I spent my happiest days in Macedonia here (and I loved everywhere I went so this is saying something). There’s also a good grocery just a few kilometres down the road, you can get everything you need easily.

In the apartment on the ground floor where we stayed the entrance is low and with two doors made of steel sheet and glass more suitable for a storage room, the windows are small and there is little natural light, there is little free space available, the bathroom is very simple and quite small and the ceiling with its solid wood beams is a real challenge for tall people (over 1.85 m). A net to keep insects away would be welcome at the entrance. Please, note that the location is about 30 km away from the nearest cities with shops.

The beauty, tranquility and wildness of the places, the hosts - very friendly people, the small garden where you can relax or dine in the fresh air, the large double bed, the rustic ambience of a 100-year-old house.

Wonderful place quiet and fantastic hosts Goran and Svezana are smart and generous. For us it was a little paradise. Also Svezana speaks French and Both perfect English. For people who likes ecological and slow way of life it’s perfect. Food is also amazing! Very nice trekkings too. Thanks you 🙏
