How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing, it was perfect!
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Beautiful and modern, with the most comfortable bed and a huge TV with the ability to connect to Netflix. The staff were amazing and super helpful with anything I needed in Skopje. And the location was perfect, right on the main square. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much bother. From booking in to the cleaners, all went out of their way to make sure they meet high standards. The small gift on departure was a nice touch.

Signage could have been better. Carpets on the staircase need to be cleaned/refurbished. Such a pity that the City of Skopje does not give due recognition to Mother Teresa, one of the most prominent people of the 20th century.
Excellent prime location right near Macedonia Square. Super friendly, helpful staff. Room was spacious and had a great view. Highly recommended.

Compared to all the nights on our roundtrip before, the breakfast could not keep up in terms of quality and variety.
The location could not be better and the rooms are quite comfortable, including complementary coffee, tea and water. The personell is very friendly.

Maybe a brighter lighting option for packing. And the air conditioner was bit tricky to use.
The location is amazing, we could walk everywhere and we had restaurants and markets nearby. The room ambiance was great. Staff was nice and helpful. We were happy about everything. We did not had breakfast but we used discount coupons, was happy about that. Overall it was great we walked everywhere and came stop for a rest at the room. Coffee was delicious also. Would choose again.

It was a great pleasure for us to stay at this comfortable hotel in Skopje - probably the best hotel in the city! We really enjoyed it. It was a jubilee gift for my mother in law and I am more than happy that we spent a great time there. Very clean, cosy, close to all important objects, with a parking lot, clean (and romantic) spa zone. The host was very kind, good-hearted person! The receptionists were always helpful. I have no words to describe everything. I can say only good things to describe our stay. I will strongly recommend it to all my friends. Do not hesitate, go to Macedonia Square Hotel!!!

An amazingly located lovely little hotel just off Macedonia Square. The room was perfect and have everything you could need and the staff we just delightful and could not do more to help us out.

Elevator doesn’t go to third floor you have to go to second floor and then use the stairs. It’s ok for us but could be a problem for elderly or reduced mobility people.
Staff was very helpfull, friendly and kind. Room was clean, our view from the room was very good. Location was super!

The room that I had was quiet because it was with a view in the back of the hotel but not far from my window there were trash bins and sometimes it was smelly when the windows were open. There were also some minor issues but the guy from the reception was very responsive and helpful. Overall, for the money paid and the location it was a good hotel
The hotel is literally in the center of Skopje, like 20 m from the statue of Alexander. The hotel has also quite a nice design and the people working there are very kind and helpful.

Hotel was in the main square, room was super clean. Staff were super helpful. They surprised us with breakfast after checkout even we don't have it on our package. There were lots of wireless chargers in the room. Even do not disturb sign could be assigned electronically. It is good to see that they use such systems instead of paper.

Perfect location and super comfy room, very clean with good aircondition and a very comfortable bed. I needed help to park my car in the nearby parkinglot, and staff were super helpfull and kind. Recommend this hotel as a super place to stay when exploring beautiful Skopje🎯 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

One part od the hotel has glass from floor to top and no opening windows, overlooking the very bussy part of the area, so I felt like on the street, and changed the room (tnx to the great manager), other side of the hotel is overlooking a scatchy backyard, but has opening windows and the view is not a problem. The only issue is noise due to the very central location, so you hear street players or protests. However, it is easily solvable with ear plugs.
Located at the main square, very safe, modern and brand new. Very clean, very nice staff, super comfortable bed. They organized a transfer from/to the airport and make sure we got legit taxi during pur stay.

If I'm going to be a little picky, I would prefer a lot warmer water in the spa pool. We were actually freezing a bit.
The guys who worked there were really serviceminded, that was the best part. Nice location and nice quality on the hotel too.
