How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is a very minor thing.. however, I travelled to Skopje for a wedding and I noticed that my hotel room could have done with a full length mirror, in maybe a different location of the room, to help me get ready. There was a mirror in the room, but it was right next to the bed so you couldnt really stand back to see yourself at full length, unless you stand on the bed 😅 maybe a full mirror could be hung onto a different wall or inside the door of the large cupboard in the room. I loved my stay at the hotel though and would definitely book again and recommend it for others to stay!
The hotel was in an excellent location, you could walk everywhere very easily, into to Skopje's city centre with easy access to restaurants, shops, bakeries, and easy walking distance to the Old Bazaar on the other side of the river. Right next to the hotel there is even a large shopping centre with many stores to choose from. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel had a lovely continental breakfast every morning for just €8 with a variety of foods to choose from. The hotel also has a great package which allows hotel guests to take a taxi to Matka Canyon for €50 - the taxi will drop you off and wait for 3 hours and take you back which is all included.

Nothing at all. Would love to stay there again.
Very clean rooms, the gym was well equipped and clean. Had good change rooms and shower. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They even allowed me to use the gym even after I had checked out. Very close to the square and shopping center right next to it. Not noisy at all. The breakfast was basic but good. Had a nice view of the fort and mosque from my window

I could not say anything about to dislike.
Location, happy face from hotel workers. They are so kind to us, they will guide for transportation from skopje to Millenium Cross and Matka canyon. In addition to those, they offer us discount for dinner at some restaurants. We enjoy so much during our vacation.

Excellent facilities and very helpful staff. Room was extremely comfortable. Location ideal for exploring Skopje. It can also arrange a taxi pick up from the airport - so your taxi driver is waiting for you as you come out into the arrivals hall.

Nothing, it was perfect!
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Beautiful and modern, with the most comfortable bed and a huge TV with the ability to connect to Netflix. The staff were amazing and super helpful with anything I needed in Skopje. And the location was perfect, right on the main square. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much bother. From booking in to the cleaners, all went out of their way to make sure they meet high standards. The small gift on departure was a nice touch.

Signage could have been better. Carpets on the staircase need to be cleaned/refurbished. Such a pity that the City of Skopje does not give due recognition to Mother Teresa, one of the most prominent people of the 20th century.
Excellent prime location right near Macedonia Square. Super friendly, helpful staff. Room was spacious and had a great view. Highly recommended.

Compared to all the nights on our roundtrip before, the breakfast could not keep up in terms of quality and variety.
The location could not be better and the rooms are quite comfortable, including complementary coffee, tea and water. The personell is very friendly.

Maybe a brighter lighting option for packing. And the air conditioner was bit tricky to use.
The location is amazing, we could walk everywhere and we had restaurants and markets nearby. The room ambiance was great. Staff was nice and helpful. We were happy about everything. We did not had breakfast but we used discount coupons, was happy about that. Overall it was great we walked everywhere and came stop for a rest at the room. Coffee was delicious also. Would choose again.

It was a great pleasure for us to stay at this comfortable hotel in Skopje - probably the best hotel in the city! We really enjoyed it. It was a jubilee gift for my mother in law and I am more than happy that we spent a great time there. Very clean, cosy, close to all important objects, with a parking lot, clean (and romantic) spa zone. The host was very kind, good-hearted person! The receptionists were always helpful. I have no words to describe everything. I can say only good things to describe our stay. I will strongly recommend it to all my friends. Do not hesitate, go to Macedonia Square Hotel!!!
