Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe place is a bit run down and old and cleanliness could really be improved. Lots of spiderwebs behind desk. What i really didnt like is that you feel that somehow you dont have all your privacy, the front "wall" facing the "garden " is completely glass, and the curtains are not big enough to block the view. Also my first night there were lots of insects, those annoying kind of mosquitoes but not actual mosquitoes. The second day surprisingly there were none.
Convenient for me as i was using the bus station and this is only 5 minutes walk. It is also a short walk to the city centre, about 10-12 minutes. You can pay in euros or denars.

Czech RepublicThe property is quite old, worn out, both inside and outside. Provided towels are feel very hard, washed out. The cleanliness is not perfect, but still acceptable. However, the location is great (near bus station, walking distance to the city center). Price is also low. There is some language barrier, as the owner does not speak much English (but it is manageable).

NorwayIt was nothing I didn't like
For me, this place was excellent. I have rated it from a budget backpackers perspective. I booked the cheapest private room I could find in a central location and it didn't disappoint. The rooms are set in Motel style, all opening out to a garden with tables and chairs. Old and worn in the edges, yes, but everything WORKS and everything was clean. Big spacious room with table and chairs. Piping hot good pressure shower which for ones was set up so the bathroom doesn't all get wet after you have showered. Toiletries and towels supplied. Excellent Aircon. It was even an electric heater for the winters. Plenty of electricity outlets so you can charge all your gadgets all at once. Excellent WiFi. A communal fridge so you can buy cheap drinks in the supermarket and enjoy them in the garden after a long day out and about exploring. It's very close to the bus station so perfect if you plan to do day trips to Matka Canyon and Stobi ruins.

GermanyWhere should I start? :D 1. The room furnishing is from the 80s and not up to date for a super-low budget acomodation in 2021. I would say, everything what is in it, is ready for the bulky waste, sorry. 2. If you have enough experience in cheap hotels and sleeping rooms in India and Nepal and have no problems sharing your room with bugs and other insects, then everything is fine for you. :) Otherwise I would recommend you look for something else, even if it is should be several kilometers from the bus station 3. The Price - i payed 16 Euros, sound not so much? No, it's to much! For example in the "Hostel Loggin", which is only 800 meters awa, direct at the Youth Cultural Center (MKC), you can have a good single-room for 20 Euros, with a fully equipped share kitchen. You only have pass the River Vardar, second street right, Unfortunately the hostel was fully booked the day I needed a single room "to sleep" and to catch my bus in the morning. I had hoped that the comments on Booking.com did not all apply .
"Motel" is located near the bus station. The manager Nikola! :) I was happy to have met you. I hope we will see each other again and can have a drink and chat in a cafe.
