Not much of a complaint, but guests may want to know that the top floor with the balcony and bath tub does not have a shower in the bathroom (only a toilet and sink) the bath is the shower, too. I found it charming, but others might not.

The location was perfect! In the center of old town, walking distance from everything. We stayed on the top floor and the views were great. The bed was comfortable and it was the perfect amount of living space. I also really liked the decor. The staff were friendly and the hotel was easy to find. Checkin was simple and we were a bit early but were able to check in anyway.

Unfortunately my air conditioning unit would stop after approx 40 minutes, I had to restart and then it would go again. Bit annoying but not the end of the world.

Super location in the old town; perfect to start walking tour in the morning or grab a boat tour of Lake Ohrid, then also enjoy sunset in the lake and have easy stroll home. The building itself is old so it has a lot of character. Check in was easy, I booked a single room but ended upgrading when I arrived for double as I stayed three nights.

Excellent location with a host that takes great care of both the property and her guests. Such busy tourist destinations can sometimes feel too noisy or crowded, but every time I entered this building and my accommodation I had a feeling of serenity I really wasn't expecting at a location so central to Ohrid's nightlife. I'm so glad I made the choice of coming to Villa Jovan, and I would gladly do it again.

They have this really cheeky way of "robbing" you 2-3 Euros when paying by card and converting to local currency. Closets are extremely tight, as one would expect in a centuries old house, some people might not like that, I did not mind for a weekend.

Location in perfect. It is an old house beautifully converted into a hostel. You basically pay for the location and the setting, rather than services, but it is worth it!

It’s as expected really. A door bell would be a good addition as reception is not always staffed and the front door is locked. Would also be great if it was possible to make a coffee/tea in the room in the morning.

the evenings (especially the weekend) was very loud on the street. this is not the fault of the property, and would be true of any location in the old city. It was not clear to me before the visit if breakfast was included (it was not) and there are no common areas at the property. there are plenty of choices in the area, though

Amazing stay. Super friendly owner. Amazing locatio at the heart of old town and close to the water Front. We stayed in Standard double room. Bathroom was small, but for us big enough and no problem. There is no parking in the old town, but owner was so helpful and assisted in parking. Many many thanks.

The luxury room is just too expensive for the fact that a lot of things in the bathroom are broken or shabby.

The location in the old town is wonderful, but still quiet. The staff is very communicative and helpful, the room is large and light and airy.

The location of the hotel is excellent, everything is within walking distance. The rooms in the old house range from charming to rustic. The receptionist is fluent in English and is very communicative, helpful and informative.
