Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

FranceI must admit that I did not like the fact that some very basic amenities were not in the flat and that I had to buy them all for such a short stay (9 nights booked): dishwashing soap/liquid and sopalin for the kitchen, cleaning products for bathtub and shower would be a minimum. I would also recommend bins inside the property. Careful, and for awareness only: 1) no visibility of the junction on the main road so you need good eyes or good GPS!) 2/ no visibility also in the village itself hence - if you are tired or not vigilant - you go straight to the restaurant (closed) and fall into a no-through road, in front of the portal of the restaurant, with no reverse park possible... And then you 3/ when you book on Booking this Anagani Suites, but the property is named "Les Villas du Lagon" (so the first time, it can make you crazy if you look for Anagani suites, you will never find them).
The location first of course, right in front the ocean :-); the welcome of the Spanish lady at the welcome desk (thanks again for everything!); studio/flat excellent; well equipped inside; very clean; bedding very good; property well maintained overall. Not an issue at all, only for travellers' awareness : not an hotel but a short term locations property only; no services on site (and it is not needed as everything is easy, offers are everywhere, you just need a good paper guide!); nothing around and if you come like me in the low season and the only restaurant is closed, it is sad (but here again no problem, easy to venture out with your car to find a restaurant; you have also a big supermarket at le François; to go fast at night and not too far, I recommend Dosta restaurant on the road at Dostali)

ItalyThe big flaw is the attached restaurant, Lili au Lagon. It has very high prices and the food is anonimous; I have the feeling that those running the restaurant exploit the absence of other restaurants within walking distance and this is not nice (see comment in Trip Advisor). Furthermore, it was impossible to have breakfast although this possibility was contemplated at the time of reservation at price 25 Euros per person (this was not a big problem, as the room is provided with a kitchen); same for lunch and dinner (35 Euros per person). A private beach is available, but much nicer ones may be found in the island, so I suggest it only to people who cannot/do want drive a car.
Suites Anagani is located inside a tourist residence. Overall, both the ambient and the room are nice and comfortable. I beleive that, with some extra effort by the management in improving the details, the place could be excellent. It seems a good place for having kite surf. We left a 400-Euros caution that was returned to my credit card within a few hours aftrer check out.

FranceMissing crockery. No knife for food preparation and no knife for bread. Asked for these but they never appeared. Cushions on chairs on the balcony were shredded!
Amazing location. Fantastic beach with a great restaurant on the beach and facility for free hire of kayak and snorkeling.
