Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaBreakfast is really bad, even the pastries were not fresh. And the hotel forgot to send the shuttle to airport which we orderred, we were waiting for almost an hour and the taxi came only after we called to hotel. It was at midnight so it wasn't nice.
Great location! Clean and spacy room. Comfortable stay! Breakfast at 9 floor, nice to meet morning there. We also had two welcome drinks and thats was nice.

HungaryWe asked for towels we could use to go to the beach and they didn't give us. At first, the pictures were spelling, although you have to make sure you're booking what you're seeing. There are 2 hotel parts (on the same street) but one has no wellness, only a jacuzzi. Not a problem for us, might be for someone else. The pool is not in the hotel, it is at the opposite side of the street-within 1 minute but still you have to go down there. But these are minor issues, they didn't bother us at all. 10/10 would recommend, check the hotel's website for detailed information.
Good breakfast, although everyday the same. It was perfect for our 4 day stay, not sure if It would be great for more than 1 week to eat the same. The room was great, very comfortable bed and clean surroundings. Even got coffee and water in the room. The neighbourhood was excellent, very busy, in the heart of everything, the windows shut out all noises so we had a good night sleep. Would totally recommend!

United KingdomThe indoor pool is barely bigger than a king-size bed so don't be trying to do laps. The jacuzzi is left to its own devices so was overfilled and a little grimy. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. The fridge in the room wasn't very cold.
Good location near to ferry to Valletta and a number of shops and restaurants. Good access to outdoor pool albeit early closing 6pm. Staff nice and helpful.

Amazing location, we really appreciated the access to the pool and jacuzzi given the heat. We had a little inconvenience during our stay but the staff dealt with it very efficiently. I would recommend this structure.

RomaniaThe elevator doesn't always work, they really should put some umbrellas at the jacuzzi because you can't sit there at 40 degrees without one. Breakfast is ok (especially pineapple), but they really should alternate the food .. you can't eat the same food every day. The balcony door does not close.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the room is beautiful and very clean. It's a good thing they have an iron and safe in the room. They also put a bottle of water and coffee in the room every day. Close to the ferry, bus stations and restaurants.

NetherlandsEverything. We had a family room at the Urban by Neu. It was a very nice room with a huge bathroom. Everything was new and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. There was a oriental market right next door that had everything you could possibly need (literally). We could use all the facilities from the 115 strand hotel next door, including the jaccuzi and shared pool area Aqualuna. The breakfast was nice with a stunning view over Valleta and the Maltese harbour. We had a great service from the very friendly staff including Sonia (the milk expert), Sophy (great tips) and Sandra (the coffee expert). The hotel is so close to everything, including the Sliema ferry that takes you to Valleta, different restaurants, all the boat trips and tourist information, different buses that take you anywhere you need in malta and so much more! Definitely a nice place to stay when you are not wanting to spend so much money on your stay, and still having a nice relaxing vacation!

LithuaniaOnly one thing that was not exelant, was the elevator. It made cracling sounds like it would fall apart if you'll just breath laudly. Every time using it, my anxiety went up. Other then that everything was great.

United KingdomThe photos are a little misleading, the hot tub is shared with the building and doesn't heat up that well but is still lovely and recommended. The views advertised are not from Urban Rooms but from the partner hotel 115 the Strand. Otherwise the rooms are nice as is the bathroom. Cleaner comes in every day and does a great job which makes it feel great. Building was still incomplete though with building works going on downstairs and we were able to hear the builders from about 9am onwards and the lift is crap. Happy enough though and if you aren't too picky then can do a lot worse than this. Location is perfect for Malta.

United KingdomIt wasn’t clear that the rooms were away from the hotel complex - and it was very confusing upon arrival (arriving at the urban rooms and not knowing that check in was at a hotel down the road). Also unclear that the pool featured in the photos is a communal pool shared by a number of hotels and apartments and is also a short walk away. Breakfast was also sub-par and located away from the rooms.
Basic, clean rooms near Sliema.

United KingdomPillows need improvement and the breakfast was of OK quality (but this reflects standards in Malta)
Hotel was great value for money and well located. Rooms are a good size, come with safe, hairdryer, tea and coffee machines and free bottles of water each day. Pillows were very firm and would be the only thing needing improvement. Malta is a super noisy place (bin menfor 30mins at 4/5am), so bring earplugs.

LithuaniaWhen staying for a few days, would be awesome to get some food variety, for example pancakes. Also, tosted bread for breakfast was burned every morning, would advise to change a toster. We really liked the idea that if you hang towels, it means they won't be changed every day. But even we hung them properly, they were still changed everyday. We could save more water.
Room was spacious, clean with huge and comfortable bed. Huge respect for providing not only standart stuff (shower gel, shampoo and soap) but also bottled water, coffee, ironing facilities and hairdryer. Food was good, liked the coffee.
