Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BermudaWe arrived at the hotel mid morning and was warmly welcomed by Max who was charming and gave us lots of tips and information. The hotel lobby and breakfast area is a lovely light filled space. We didn't have to wait long for our room and what a surprise to find it was on the top floor with our own access via the elevator. Stepping into the sitting area we took in a spectacular view of the harbour through the French doors opening onto a small private balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious with a walk in shower and Molton Brown toiletries. Breakfast was continental with lots to choose from. The hotel is ideally located for walking to the numerous resturants, cafes and sites and yet a quiet haven. We would stay there again if we return to Malta and highly recommend it.

Charming ambience. Intimate scale. A calming oasis. Love the atrium space where we ate breakfast in the morning. The pool deck was relaxing. Loved the view from our room across Valletta harbour. The staff were lovely, especially Mary and Max. We got great recommendations for restaurants to eat at.

United KingdomThe extractor in the bathroom didn't work and the wardrobe sliding door didn't slide! A few more hangers would be been useful for 1 week stay. These are only minor gripes though - on the whole we absolutely loved our stay here.
The location was absolutely perfect - you are within easy reach of bars, cafes, restaurants and also the ferry and bus terminal. The staff at the hotel are really lovely and super friendly. The breakfast was continental and offered a good selection of cereals, fruit, pastries, etc. There is a (very) small pool on the rooftop with fabulous views - there are a few sunbeds which weren't too busy but I would imagine would be v busy in high season.

United KingdomUsual bathroom niggles - lack of storage for clothing, insufficient shelving for toiletries. Specifically a non- functioning pop-up basin plug which when dropped into the plug-hole could not be removed. Generally though all was good!
Excellent central location and calm internal space

United KingdomNeeded better lighting in the bathroom. It would’ve been nice to have had the option of making tea in the room.(English travellers🤣) And hot drink provision in the room could’ve been more generous. Option of having cooked eggs at breakfast would be a big improvement as well

United StatesThis was our first visit to Malta and 66 St. Paul was a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed everything. The tasteful decor, the history of the building, the pool, the delicious breakfast, the plentiful cappucinos, our beautiful room, the spa, the convenient location, and most of all, the very helpful staff who went out of their way to answer all our questions and provide help when needed.

United KingdomIn one of the family rooms - 205 - the mirror was far from the plug socket, making it difficult to do hair etc before going out. The other rooms our family stayed in didn’t have this problem. We didn’t report this issue, and I have 100% confidence that if we did, the team would have done everything they could to resolve it.
We chose to stay at 66 Saint Paul’s and Spa for a family wedding and our experience was nothing short of exceptional! We received five star customer service from start to finish (especially from Maximilian). The rooms were beautifully designed and included lovely finishing touches such as beautiful Molton Brown products. The cleaning team went above and beyond, allowing the room to be photographed as part of the wedding photography - even adding special touches such as petals and swans to the bed. The overnight security manager welcomed us back late into the evening and checked we had everything needed to finish our day of celebration before bed. Finally, the location was perfect for getting around the sights of Valetta! Thoroughly recommend visiting!

United KingdomWe had a room on the first floor next to the road, traffic started very early at 6am, so the next day we asked to move and they kindly did move us to an internal room, no outside facing window, but it was worth it to get away from the noise and for peaceful sleepings. Breakfast was very good indeed. Overall it was great.
