Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaltaNot suitable for persons with poor mobility, as there is no passenger lift, but the stairs are comfortable and easy to climb, and perfect for shorter stays with minimal luggage.
Very Nice Hosts, Teresa and Pauline were both very accommodating and friendly, Check in/out were straight forward and efficient, breakfast pack was sufficient and satisfying, easy parking, location is fantastic, easy walking distance to Rabat centre along St. Paul's Street where there are plenty of places of interest and entertainment, and dining options, will highly recommend 😀

Switzerland- both ladies from the reception were super friendly and very helpful - the object has a standard of 3-star hotel for the price of B&B. Rooms were clean & comfortable - continental breakfast was a very nice addition to the snacks available in the room - there's even a terrace available for guests One of the nicest B&B places we've ever stayed in. Thank you very much!

ItalyStaff was so kind and ready to meet any requests. They provided us with gluten free breakfast and everything was absolutely perfect. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice space outdoor. The Guest House is at a five-minute walk from the centre of the city and it was extremely easy to reach bus stops, restaurants, tourist attractions and all amenities.

United StatesIt's a shared bathroom, but that was fine, but it still takes some getting used to, like when you are about to take a shower and some other dudes sneaks in 5 seconds before you walk in.
Room had nice light, breezy when the doors were open, balcony was nice. Easy parking, walkable location to town. Nice staff, laundry available for 5 euro, which is a good deal. Hang dry. So/so breakfast during covid, but at least they offered something.

HungaryBreakfast was quite low profile, but the ham in the fridge had a smell, no way to taste or eat. Freshness is not a price-level question. Room was looking a bit poorly, had low temperature but A/C worked when we figured out it start heating after 2-5 minutes running untouched. The air flow direction was fixed with a duct tape. The check-in can be done in a very narrow timeframe; if you go later, you get a PIN code that not works first, others had problem with it too (have to enter it slower than it accepts seen OK, tried differently at least 5 times), but finally everbody got in. Second day we skipped the breakfast option and dicided to eat on the way to Mdina at a well rated place; question: why we have paid for breakfast..
Later check-out was OK, we were able to leave our bags at the reception for a while. (We had a late afternoon flight from the airport.)

PolandThe main reason to chose this place was thst it offered breakfast. When we booked it, we got the message that they do not serve breafast: we felt cheated! Why do you lure guests in with a promise of a breakfast if you do not serve one? We asked for a room with double bed, we got aroom with twon beds. The host says it was a misunderstaning. But the only room available with the key in the door was with twin bed. We specifically ask for a particular room but we didn't get it, even though it was free. The (shared) bathroom was unbearably cold. The room smelled old.
The staff is nice and potentially a very good place, but...

New ZealandThe room lighting wasn't cosy (cold white) and the bathroom was not inside the room. It wasn't too big of a deal as I only really went there to sleep before leaving for airport at 5am, but wouldn't chose it again due to these things - just didn't feel cosy to me.
The owner is fantastic, welcoming and communication arranging details was perfect!

LithuaniaAll stay was ok, just in the morning we found many little ants around the table and around our bags. It was very unpleasant! Shower room is very small (we had a room with a shower). Wifi was very poor in whole area, we couldn’t load pages in the 3rd floor or the same problem was in the ground floor.
Room was clean, staff friendly and we were surprised about the terrace next to the room. It was lovely to sit outside in the evening.
