How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

While there is a washing machine it would’ve been very helpful to have a clothes wrack. There is only a si for line on the balcony.
Great location and outlook onto the cliffs and the ocean off to the side. Spacious and nice light in lounge and kitchen. Great for family, close to beautiful walks and sunset vistas.

Theres is no paint on the wall, its abit dusty. Conditioneer extra cash. If you open the bedroom window you will hear toilet flashes all the time

Wifi was very poor, we ended up using our data the entire time. Also good to be aware that you will need coins to run the aircon.
Location in Xlendi is great and the apartment was very clean. The apartment also had all essential appliances, including washing machine, gas stove, kettle etc which was useful. Also great to have a balcony.

Nothing - it was a perfect location and apartment. I made a mistake in booking because I thought there were 3 bedrooms but that was my fault and Melissa found a solution that worked.
Xlendi is a beautiful location and the apartment is well positioned with a nice view from balcony. Melissa and her family were super helpful and responsive to any requests. It was very easy to find and parking was always available. Lots to do in walking distance. We loved the location, the swimming and snorkelling is amazing, good restaurants, live music at Ritual. We went snorkelling and scuba diving, we hired a boat which was great fun, and kayaks another day. Easy location for getting to other places in Gozo - you are never more than a 20 minute drive away from anywhere. Victoria is a beautiful city and we were there during the festival of Santa Maria which was amazing. We stayed on the island for 2 weeks in 2 locations but came back to Xlendi several times even once we had left! All the photos I have uploaded are in Xlendi.

A/C required some cash/coins to work.
Location the best. Not on the beach which was good because beachfront was very noicy. This wasnt far from beach but location peacefull. Easy to come. Rooms were spacious but A/C worked with coins so was not included.

Needs more deep cleaning and sanitizing especially in the bathroom as at night there were small cockroaches on the floor.

The WiFi connection only works in the living area but isn’t reliable. You have to pay €1 for 8 hours of air conditioning so make sure you have coins on hand! The water pressure is poor and the apartment was really dusty. Also, make sure bring earplugs as the neighbors next door have loud screaming matches every night and have yappy dog. Overall good value for money.
The property was spacious, had good working facilities, and the view was picturesque from the balcony. The staff were absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to help us with anything such as giving us a few coins for the air conditioning, checking in on us to make sure everything was ok and dropping off extra amenities.

Exactly as described, the view is just wow! The apartment is huge, cost/benefit really good as well Furthermore, the owner was always available, as to solve any of our questions. Only thing to notice, a lot of construction around the apartment, so a bit loud during the week (at least during off seasons - before beginning of april 2023)

Everything was great! No issues.
Lovely large apartment only minutes from the bay, really clean and well stocked. Great to have air-conditioning for the bedrooms at night, especially for my parents. Great communication throughout with a really informative guidebook.

Just one thing... The roof, where the BBQ area is, is very dark. A bulb or some other basic lighting would be perfect.
The location, the view, the proximity to the sea, the cleanliness, the layout of the flat, the air-conditioned bedrooms... Basically it was as close to perfect as one could be.
