It was ok for this cheap price.

They offered me a single room insted of a bed in a dormitory because the hostel was pretty crowded when I arrived. The staff very friendly, the breakfast better than in other hostels, not extraordinary, but good enough. They had a delicious tart every morning. The location was nice, close to a lot of bus stops that took you to Valletta and within walking distance from Sliema. They cleaned the room every 2 days.

All the staffs at hostel were friendly and ready to help. Location wise, It’s quite near bus stop and buses go to different routes and airport. The breakfast were plenty even every morning were same.

Good value for the price. I stayed in female only dormitory and the space was lovely. A big plus was the access to filtered drinking water, which most accommodations do not provide.

The staff from the front desk is not very organized. In one week stay the door key did not work properly, just because they can not set the right check out date. Always asking if I have to check out today, looking like they are rushing you on not staying in the hostel. As well, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the room.

The location is very good and not far from the bus station. The staff from the breakfast is very friendly and good workers. As well, the cleaning staff did a good job with cleaning in the room.

I was informed that breakfast was available until 10am, but I came down one day at 9am and they had concluded the service. The bed was rather hard and the pillow was too thin to be comfortable. There's a locker in the room however the lock function didn't work. The hinge on the door of my locker was also broken and therefore it's probably wise not to leave valuable items in the room if you're out of the hostel. As a student hostel, sometimes the students can get rather noisy at night. Bring earplugs especially if you're an early and light sleeper. Being a little far away from downtown, travelling to the hostel by public buses can be quite problematic at night.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were cleaned regularly. The room has air conditioning that we can adjust according to our liking. The breakfast option was simply bread and cereals with tea or coffee - better than nothing and gave extra value to the already affordable room rate. The location is pretty nice, near University of Malta and just a few minutes walk to/from Qroqq bus stop to go to the airport or anywhere else on the island. Also being in a student area, the area surrounding the hostel is more peaceful and quiet than in Sliema or St Julian. Overall it did meet my expectations. It's a solid option for those travelling on a budget and want to stay away from the city's busy nightlife.

Only important inconvinience, which I knew in advance, was that private toilet is a seperate room. It is private only for you, it is just across the corridor 1 m away from your door, but you need to dress up, close your door , open the other door , and then the other way around etc. Also the single bed was really too narrow for a big guy, maybe for an average person too. It's about almost an hour of walking away from Valleta old city

Good value overall, spoteless clean everywhere, ok breakfast, has a small pool which is great for relaxing after a walking day.

The location was not in the best area; not many people were around at night. When booking, I was told I would be sharing a room with 3 other people. However, I was alone in my dorm the entire time.

I appreciated how there were staff at the reception 24/7; it made the hostel feel safer.

The breakfast was so bad we skipped it after trying it for the second time. They offer no new choices of food every day and the choices we were presented with were dry croissants, stale bread, and low-quality meat. After the second time we tried the breakfast I tried their orange juice and had a stomach ache for half of the day. When we tried hot chocolate via the machine they gave me very bad coffee. When we came into our room they presented us with a room with a full garbage bin, a mold across the wall the entire wall (This was the first time in my life I saw a mold that big on the walls), and a ton of stains on the bed. Luckily they gave us a new room which was of higher quality than the previous one but still not qualified enough as it was in the pictures. Also, the pool was very dirty, In the 5 days we were there we hadn't seen a single person use their pool. Within our room, we had only 1 small window with a view of bricks 2 meters away. We had trouble breathing in our room due to next to none ventilation

It was very cheap. I do not think I found a cheaper hotel at the time we were booking. The staff were very pleasant and helpful when it came to helping us find supermarkets, restaurants, etc.

- there are a LOT of kids, 13-18 ish because it’s linked to a school or something - essentially if you think you’ll meet fellow solo travellers in their 20s, not the case at all which was a let down - would suggest staying elsewhere if you’re wanting to meet people

- free breakfast- it’s very unhealthy and comes straight from the freezer but filling and free - staff are lovely - was the cheapest private accommodation available by a lot at the time I booked

The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it was sufficient to start the day. Every morning it was the same, so it got a little bland. The coffee is awful, it took a lot of work to make it taste a bit better!

The location was good enough, there are several bus stops next to the hostel so you can go anywhere. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, clearly happy with their job, which I always respect. The rooms were clean, there are towels included, and the A/C works just fine. There is a machine which has drinkable water you can get, so that's definitely a win.
